Use to live on St. Pete Beach and I knew every restaurant there very well. I learned whom had the good the bad and the ugly when it came to food. That being said, Dockside Dave’s was my go to when it came to a Grouper Sandwich! By far the best anywhere around! Fried was the best in my opinion, but do yourself a favor when they reopen, stop in, you won’t be disappointed.

I was just clicking around google, engaging in some nostalgia for the few months I managed to spend in St. Petersburg over the past few years. Dockside Dave's and their wonderful little seafood tacos came up as part of magical memories of the beach, along with visits to the Kava place next door...I saw that they were hit hard by the hurricane. I hope they will be back in business soon, and I hope to visit sometime again!

When I read less than 5 stars I'm taken back. Their Seafood Bisque is the best I've ever had. The Grouper was fabulous and brought me back time and again. Even to go on my way home from work.

I ordered a margarita, on the rocks , no salt. Cheeseburger, well done, slice of provolone cheese, no onion. The margarita came with a salt rim, the cheeseburger was raw in the middle with American cheese and an onion slice.

It's been 4 years since we've eaten at Dockside Dave's, and I still think of their food! A friend of 50 years, used to live in St. Petersburg years and years ago. When we told her we going to Madeira Beach, she said you have to go to Dockside Dave's. Needless to say, we ate there every night. I wish we had one in Oklahoma!

My wife and I dined at Dave's Dockside. I know neither how spacious the interior is nor about the atmosphere of the interior, as we walked past the bar and went directly outside to eat.
My wife ordered the Grouper Sandwich and I ordered the cup of Dave's Famous Seafood Bisque (purple in color from the Burgundy cream base) and the Shrimp PoBay sandwich.
The soup was nice, but the main dishes were the stars here.
Dave's knows how to prepare Grouper and Shrimp PoBoy and serves generous portions. The Grouper Sandwich was juicy and flavorful and the PoBoy was very tasty.
For a good seafood dinner, I reviled the food at Dave's Dockside.
