My wife and I had another wonderful dinner at the Gulf Bistro yesterday. The food, as always was delicious. We started with the country pate appetizer, followed by the the Pork Tenderloin and Bouillabaisse. The pork was tender and delicious, served with a hint of blue cheese in the sauce, and the Bouillabaisse was loaded with fish and seafood in a delicious sauce. The servers were warm and attentive and did not rush us through the meal. This is our favorite restaurant in the St Pete area and a place we go when we want a romantic night out.

Best French restaurant around! I travel a lot and I love a good French restaurant. I vacation in the area several times a year. This has been on my must do list every year. The food is exceptional! Highly recommend!!

My husband and I ate at this authentic French beautiful restaurant for a friend's surprise birthday dinner party. The atmosphere was very French and cozy. Our meals were amazing. I had the perfectly prepared Duck l'orange. My husband had the shrimp and scallops. Both meals were absolutely superbly created and presented. We both enjoyed the magnificent meals and the exquisite desserts thoroughly. The chef is excellent. So was our server, Mari. We were a group of about 12 people and we all enjoyed everything. My husband and I will return to this French delightful bistro!

Excellent French food. Worth the wait as the owner is the chef and his wife and daughter run the front of the house. They are friendly and have an extensive menu. Well worth a visit especially if you like French cooking

Sorry for being more than 20 years late leaving a review. This is the best French restaurant anywhere. We have dined there hundreds of times. Both family and business associates love every time. There has got to be reason why the vast majority of plates are completely clean when they leave the table. My favorite story was after taking a group of French speaking business associates from Quebec there .. they demanded to go back to the kitchen after dinner to complain that they had to travel thousands of miles to Tampa Bay to discover the best French cooking ever!

Last night, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner with three friends at a delightful French restaurant. The service was exceptional, with the staff providing great recommendations that truly enhanced our meal. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, complemented by soft French music that set the perfect mood for conversation.
The food was simply delicious, showcasing authentic French flavors that left us all impressed. We also appreciated the good selection of wines, which paired beautifully with our dishes. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that I would highly recommend.

We had an excellent dining experience at the Bistro. Only one dish was less than expected, the red snapper. But we can overlook that out of four dinners. We will definitely return. Very nice atmosphere, excellent food and service.

Food is always delicious, and it is nice to support a smaller family restaurant. Especially since they had to move from Redington Beach due to the hurricane disasters.
