From the bar to the atmosphere to their adorable shop, Saltwater Hippie is hands-down the best spot by the beach. Yes, it can get loud with constant live music—but that’s part of the charm! Want a more chill vibe? Go on a weekday and find Denise (aka “the mongoose”) behind the bar. She’s fast, hilarious, and always ready with a joke or good conversation. Total legend.
The shop is a must-visit—packed with cute clothes, fun nicknacks, and high-quality local merch. I’ve picked up gifts and everyday wear I actually love to use. Be sure to say hi to JP while you’re browsing!
The vibes are unmatched. The beach is literally across the street, and when the sun goes down, the nightlife turns up. Live music, dancing, singing—it’s always a party, and always a good time.
And shoutout to the owner, Jeri—she’s the heart of it all. Not only is she a beautiful soul, but she’s constantly involved in the community and always present at the bar, making sure everything runs with good energy and even better people.
Can’t recommend Saltwater Hippie enough. Whether you’re local or just visiting, this place is a must.

was there Saturday night only to have a friend targeted and assaulted by the bouncer what your staff did was totally aggravated assault and have video and are going to press charges then we are going to every news outlet to tell the story and show the video

We had great lasagna and chicken parmigiana and martinis at the restaurant right next door, which shares and prepares the menu with the Hippie. The Saltwater Hippie had live music and a big open patio. Fun environment, it was crowded but everyone was very nice. My friend with me was tired so didn’t get to stay for long after dinner. Hope to visit again .

Wheelchair accessibility: They have picnic tables outside you can pull a wheelchair up to. If its too crowded to order a drink, just ask for help, everyone that visits is awesome and always helps you out.
