From the bar to the atmosphere to their adorable shop, Saltwater Hippie is hands-down the best spot by the beach. Yes, it can get loud with constant live music—but that’s part of the charm! Want a more chill vibe? Go on a weekday and find Denise (aka “the mongoose”) behind the bar. She’s fast, hilarious, and always ready with a joke or good conversation. Total legend.

We had great lasagna and chicken parmigiana and martinis at the restaurant right next door, which shares and prepares the menu with the Hippie. The Saltwater Hippie had live music and a big open patio. Fun environment, it was crowded but everyone was very nice. My friend with me was tired so didn’t get to stay for long after dinner. Hope to visit again .
