This was our first time at this restaurant. We ate outside at a corner table. Seevice was terrific. Phil our server was attentive but unobtrusive. Food was good old fashion Italian. Appetizers (meatballs, caprese salad and fried calamari) were very good. Pasta dishes also were very good and plentiful. The pocket purses were the highlight of the entrees. The art and ambient ce was most inviting. We will be going back.

We are locals and went tonight or have the bartender ignore us and treat us like we were a bother…. He was drinking with friends outside the bar and when I finally asked for help he caught and attitude/. He said - if you don’t like it here don’t come back. On a separate note—- food is awesome and Melissa bartends during the week… skip the weekends it’s bring with bad service and go during the week.

I’m writing this review because I recently realized how spoiled I’ve been to always eat at Art Basil. I recently went to a very well known and popular Italian restaurant that serves the same entrees as AB, and it made me realize how much better tasting AB is. The beggar’s purse, chicken parm and the GARLIC ROLLS taste better and have a better quality than this other popular restaurant I just went to.
I do love Art Basil! I like how it can be fine dining, but also just going in for chicken wings and pizza is tasty and a lot of fun! High quality food and cool dinner specials.

Absolutely amazing Italian restaurant. We've been twice now and both times were blown away by the food. Chef Michael is a master at his craft! He completely upgraded the menu when he took over a couple months ago. Completely different restaurant. Great happy hour and comfortable atmosphere. We'll be making Art Basil a regular visit!

Always Comfortable and always above the average. Last night was extra special as it was a little slower night, Tuesday off season in Manalapan, First time dining out with our new neighbors Frank and Sue. What made the night better than most is we had Chef Michael in the dining room following up on his artistry with pride. Michael said he has been there about a month now and while I always appreciated the food you could tell tonight the food was prepared with extra care. We will be back Soon

We really enjoyed our meals. Lasagna and fontina and pear pasta purses. Prices were expected for area. Once a party of around 40-50 people arrived in the dining room the noise level was high and it was hard to talk and hear eachother. Nice place.

This was our first visit. We had a reservation indoors but due to the loud live music we decided to sit outside and we were the lucky ones. The food, service and cool breezes from the ocean were wonderful. The extra bonus was we were visited by the chef who just started working at the restaurant. We had seafood risotto, lasagna and chicken parmigiana. They were all outstanding. We will be back!

Melissa the bartender makes the best vodka martini that I have ever tasted! She also makes you feel like you're a dear friend. She made my birthday celebration special . 🥰 We watched her with other patrons and you could see the smiles on their faces too. If you're looking for a special place to go, I highly recommend going there for happy hour and staying for the live music 🎶
