Castaway Waterfront Restaurant & Sushi Bar

Had the crab queso again! salmon prepared mazalatán was very good, loved the sauce, huge portions. Husband had the lobster enchiladas. I wasn't a fan of my Thunderbolt margarita, I thought it lacked flavor. Adam was our most attentive and fun server.

Food and service was good. It was a Friday night so food was delayed a bit but not really a big deal . We would return if back in Marathon

Great experience that's why we go there. Great food, great waiter, until the end when he got really busy.

In visiting Marathon annually Castaway is always our first dinner after hitting town. The menu, service and food is top notch. Put it on your gotta do list.

Had friends from Wisconsin visiting and they wanted to take us out on their last night in town. After much deliberation that asked what about the place with the lion fish videos. Castaways it is. Since it was windy and cold I was able to grab an indoor table reservation as usual, service, food, ambiance were all as expected. Just can't go wrong at Castaways. Have yet to be less than excellent

Never had anything that was not excellent. The pick shrimp steamed in beer is the best I've eaten anywhere ! Sushi is an all around favorite and any fish selection will not be a disappointment. The pasta was even excellent in the parmesan side dish Can't say enough about this establishment

Off the main highway but worth seeking out. Nice selection of fresh fish, very local feel, and our server was very knowledgeable and welcoming.

We made an open table reservation. Arrived on time to an empty restaurant. Asked to sit in a booth and was told they were reserved. They sat us at a table near the open kitchen door. What is the point of making a reservation on Open Table when they save tables for local people. The food was good but I didn't like having to watch and hear all the activity coming in and out of the kitchen. We will think twice about going back.

Very generous portions. The hogfish with shrimp/scallops was quite good, but needed some additional seasoning. The waitress was warm & friendly & certainly knew the menu & had helpful information. Highlight of the evening was a manatee sighting.

Yvonne made the experience even better! She made me a fresh cup of coffee to pair with my Key Lime Pie!

Fun out of the way restaurant on the water. lots of menu options. Enjoyed the atmosphere outside. shout out to Yvonne who gave us outstanding wait service

I've always been told "Don't judge a book by it's cover" Well you certainly can not Castaway. Driving up to the restaurant the neighborhood/area was a little iffy as well as the front of restaurant. Looks were deceiving. Once inside very nice. The menu/food was absolutely 💯 fabulous. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about items as well with recommendations. This is definitely a hidden gem. Was recommended to us by a local. Will go back hands down. ❤️ 😍

I love going to a restaurant where the staff seem truly happy, the chef goes from table to table to see how people are enjoying their experience and there is just an all around positive vibe. This is a casual yet creative and delicious seafood “heavy” dining experience. There were so many delicious choices that we decided to try several items and share. We started with conch fritters (excellent, non greasy fry and crispy), tuna nachos (fresh tuna) and the lion fish sushi “special” (incredible 5 star presentation and delicious). We then had the lobster quesadilla (my least favorite, but still very good) and the hog fish dinner with scallops and shrimp (also remarkable). We tried the coconut cake and coconut key lime pie (both excellent) for dessert. Tried their cocktails initially, which were very tasty. Our server was fabulous and she made our experience all the more special with her suggestions, Highly recommend this place!

What a wonderful place! Food and waitstaff was amazing! Kodi? (Our waiter) was outstanding!! The ambiance was great and I enjoyed everything about my Dinner there. I highly recommend The Castaway restaurant!!
