Didn’t know what to expect when we chose this place for dinner….quite the eclectic menu. We chose items from the Nicaraguan menu that were out of this world!! Others we met there (local)said the pizza was the best around.
Michelle was very attentive and helpful.
I’ll be BACK!

We were delightfully surprised by the food and friendly familial atmosphere! My grandson had pizza which he enjoyed very much and I ordered the Chancho con Yuca, a new dish for me, which was excellent. The portions were generous. The prices reasonalble. I would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant.

The food, atmosphere and service was ok but we had to wait very long for our food which wasn’t a great experience. The presentation of the food wasn’t done well for the chicken tacos we tried.
Although loved the veg pasta, and the fresh garlic bread.

Delicious food and great service! We had the Amor Fritanguero, and it was a ton of food and came with all the classic Nicaraguan meats and sides. Everything was cooked well, and the staff was very friendly and personable. This place also serves Italian food, and I'm a huge tiramisu fan. It is one of the best I've had from any restaurant. Will come back when we come back to the Keys!

This was my first experience eating Nicaraguan cuisine and I was delighted with everything. I ordered the sampler plate which generously included roasted beef, pork, sausage and chicken thigh and 2 pieces of cheese. All were tender and flavorful due to the marinade preparation. On the side was a huge helping of beans/rice, fried green plantains strips and a vinegary cabbage slaw. A jar of vinegar onions were offered to the table as a garnish for the meats. The owner came over to explain the food and even told me the contents of the marinade. Hubby and I split a flan for dessert. It was a dense custard with vanilla. I highly recommend el gueguense. Do I need to add that I have leftovers to enjoy tomorrow?

If you're looking for Nicaraguan food ask for the other menu, they also serve Italian.
