To the owner of the Stout Restaurant. First let me complement you on your food. I would say that your staff in the kitchen does a great job. But what happen to the wait stff WOW! Rude and very poor service. I'm not sure if it was just a bad day but whatever happened to their attitude they need to fix it. I would love to say nice and complementary comments about your restaurant. But the ladies in the front are need to change check their behavour. Our party of 4 came in for breakfast, and set on the first table in front of the door last Tuesday morning.We had just come in from Michigan to help my wife to recover from surgery. We asked to move because my was cooled due to the AC blowing on her. Which we did but I guess that set of our waitress. We were ignored and bypass for service. I took over a hour to get service. This place only has 20 some sets. Yea that all. Once again the food was got but I don't need the come back. Best of luck. We now go t the Stuffed Pig. Maybe the best breakfast in town.

Good food, Reasonable prices, Friendly staff. Acoustics left some to be desired. Cash only so come prepared. Loved the historical photos on the walls. We had breakfast here twice during our stay in Marathon. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but don’t be deterred.
Just to know upfront: cash only. There was a sign saying there was an ATM out back, but we had cash on us. This was a great little place for breakfast, real grits and real jars of homemade jam/marmalades. Our order came out correct and hot, pretty quickly for as many people as were seated! Small but mighty. The signs and historic pictures were a plus

Tried to have breakfast this morning around 7:30 AM since TA said they opened at 6. Drove 5 miles to try them out based on previous reviews. Closed with no one in sight. I we t back to my hotel and tried calling them. I received the strangest message ever. It said: We are usually here by 8: 30 although some days were here by 6! But some days we're even later or don't come in at all! There was similar wording about closing somewhere between 4 and 11! Can't see going to a business that won't even tell you their hours! Even if they are completely weird! Call their listed number to hear it for yourself!

A great place to have breakfast, all our food was tasty and fresh. They have a veggie sausage option which tasted amazing. Definitely recommend a stop at this restaurantVegetarian options: Try the veggie sausage it's a must

If you are looking for home cooked food. This is the place. The sausage gravy is not the typical out of the bag gravy. The jelly comes to your table in the homemade jelly jar and the homemade Calamondin pie was awesome!
