We spent the night in Marathon, and the next morning, I was in need of a good coffee to kick-start the day. A quick search led me to The Marketplace, which had coffee on their menu and seemed like a great option for a morning pick-me-up.

The Marketplace was just a 5-minute drive from where we were staying, and finding parking nearby was easy and hassle-free. As I stepped inside, I was immediately impressed by the inviting ambiance. The space was not just a coffee spot but a versatile marketplace offering a variety of items for purchase, including food, coffee, beer, and even home decor.

From the menu, I decided to go with a classic Latte served hot. The service was efficient, and my coffee was ready within 5-10 minutes. With coffee in hand, I was quickly back on my way to continue the day.

The latte was everything I needed in the morning--freshly brewed with a smooth, rich flavor. It had just the right balance of creaminess and a hint of sweetness, as it wasn't overly sugary, which suited my preference perfectly.

Overall, The Marketplace was a convenient and delightful find. The great coffee, welcoming atmosphere, and variety of offerings make it worth a stop for anyone staying in or passing through Marathon. It was the perfect start to my morning.

Great atmosphere and friendly service with the worst latte in the keys.. $8 and I poured it out. They pull espresso shots and dump them in a coffee pot, EXTREMELY bitter. I’ve been to every coffee shop on the island, this is the only spot I dumped out my drink.

Great for a last stop before Bahia Honda State Park. I got an iced latte and two empanadas here that were warmed up again. Large selection of snacks, a little more expensive.

Interesting little spot to grab just about anything you might need, whether it's coffee, food, clothes, souvenirs, or board games. Seriously they had so many different little things all over this shop. Plus there's is plenty of seating.

I ordered a pastry and asked for it to be warmed up, yet it took about 10 minutes. I'm not sure why, as there was a single coffee order in front of me.

Thought with the big "BEER" advertisement they may have some good craft beer but they did not. Store is EXTREMELY overpriced and they do not offer much. I also did not see any "BAIT" as advertised either. I did enjoy the coconut gelato.

You can grab a snack or ice cream before crossing the Seven Mile Bridge. There are also plenty of stylish original goods such as hats and T-shirts. Please stop by and check it out. There is a toilet.

The overall shop is really nice and looks great. But the coffee shop inside is unfortunately totally overpriced. We had each 4 coffee/croissants/water and paid 100 usd. Coffee wasn’t good and croissants way to small. Typical tourist trap.

Sprawling cafe located inside the Marketplace store which is fun, hip island vibe store. Got a vegetable panini along with a caramel latte. The caramel latter was decent; however, the vegetable panini was absolutely amazing. It was large and stuffed with a variety of grilled veggies such as onions and squish. The person making the sandwich was attentive and made sure I wanted cheese on my panini. Was lovely and seems a bit like hyperbole but honestly made my day. Was only able to eat half of it at first; however, the sandwich kept surprisingly well and was still tasty several hours later.

Vegetarian options: Decent number of vegetarian options, especially on the salad side. They are accommodating to dietary needs and can adjust as need be.

They seem to have paid a good deal of money for an interior designer and you get the really hipster vibe once you enter. It is sad they fail to cook their pastries thoroughly and charge about $10 and expect a tip for breathing the same air with them.
The size of their sandwiches were pathetic and their coffee was meh. There are indoor seating areas but suuuuper filthy, the tables were one thing but the chairs had permanent stains on them. I wish they had nicer staff as well.
