No problem getting a seat although getting our dinner did take a little while. But our waitress was always on top of making sure we had drinks. Very personable staff. So many choices and looks like a locals place. Plenty of parking and right off i-10. Reasonable prices.

Buffet was good - mini biscuit with gravy was very good! Coffee was top notch and our server Alexa was the best. Like very best. I don't do buffets much but we'll be back because she made us feel so welcome. Great decorations to boot.

This place was filthy … the food was terrible. I loved Po folks as a kid. I will never be back. It has ruined a great memory

I hadn't been to a Po Folks in years so while traveling we spotted one and was excited about eating there. My husband and mother-in-love ordered the fried catfish, okra, greens and hush puppies and I had liver and onions with green beans, rice and gravy. Everything was really good but the catfish was my favorite!

6-2-22@3:55 CSTSorry we do not have any pics because we were too busy eating, lol!Great food with awesome pricing. My hubby and I are country folk that love country cooking. He ordered chicken livers appetizer, 4pc chicken meal, and sweet tea. I ordered mushrooms appetizer, beef tips and gravy meal, sweet tea, and a mountain apple cobbler. The food was smoking hot and beyond our expectations. We ordered to go plates to take home. We give the cooks all the credit for making our meal memorable. The waitresses were courteous, smiling, and hospitable. We will definitely spend more money there in the near future.Give this place a try, the negative reviews is not giving this restaurant its proper chance. In my opinion, they are nitpicking.

Food was delicious, and atmosphere was relaxing. Arrived right before closing and they let me stay and eat in. Friendly place to eat and enjoy your meal. I really like the theme of the place. I forgot to take a picture of the menu, it was of country language. I will most definitely return for another meal at the Po Folks.

Everything was great, especially the fried green tomatoes. They have great sweet tea, and our friends enjoyed their steaks. The fried whitefish and the shrimp & grits were really good. We had a very nice dinner for very good prices.

Food was very good here! Like most places these days, the seemed to be understaffed. I hear that have a good buffet on the weekends as well.

2nd time in a week. Blue ribbon 4 piece chicken dinner with rice and gravy and mashed po-taters and gravy for 11.99. Fabulous. My sons got the two porkchop dinner and the catfish and cracked for 11.99 each. My wife got the chicken and during for 10.99. Topped off with blackberry and apple cobbler with a scoop of ice cream. Adding to my favorites list.

As travelers we were looking for a place we could relax and have a good meal so we read the reviews and decided to give it a try.I trust most reviews so I have to guess we must have just caught this place on a bad day ... a VERY bad day. Waitress (Stephanie) obviously had better things to do than offer customer service ... after the few meager picking I found at the buffet table I even had to search for her to get silverware ... and she never once came back to offer more water or see if we needed anything else.We were in there at 1:00 and maybe a lunch rush had just wiped out the buffet ... the little chicken left was obviously old and was drying out, the grits were like soup and the salad dressing was, well, hard to distinguish as thousand island. The corn on the cob had been soaking (I'm guessing) since early morning and was water-logged and the fish (?) tasted only of breading.Disappointed (and hungry) when we left.

Excellent food! The chicken strips and hush puppies were the best we have had. Highly recommend the chicken and dumplings and the Cole slaw and fries. Skip the Mac and cheese. Everyone enjoyed their food. The hostess didn’t seem to realize her role but the wait staff and food made up for it. When we arrived and put our name on the list, we asked how long the wait was. Her answer was “ I don’t know. No way to tell.” Really?! Your supposed to be the expert. It took 2 min. When we went to pay our bill- she was very annoyed at the line of people and grumpy with everyone. Probably a long day and tired.
