The Waffle Iron Of Marianna

I thought the customer service was fantastic.... at first. I ordered the trash plate which was hash browns with ham, bacon, veggies and cheese. It came with a biscuit and I asked for gravy on the side and a Pepsi. I asked to substitute ham and bacon on the hashbrowns with patty sausage. It came out quickly and it was delicious. On my ticket $3 was written beside patty sausage. When I went to pay I asked the lady if she charged me $3 for a patty sausage when I didn't get it extra, but I substituted. Because the $3 was beside the patty sausage it looked like I was charged extra for it. She says no that's for your Pepsi. (My Pepsi wasn't on the ticket at all) I replied "ok" and handed her my card. She then proceeded to read to me the rest of my ticket and the prices. I told her I just wasn't sure about the $3 because it was written beside the patty sausage. She then states "It's not a calculator. I'm only human." I was nothing short of polite as I asked, responded to, and accepted her explanation. Looking at the other reviews I believe every one of them. Even her replies to the 1 star reviews are snarky. I understand that people can get stressed and have a rough day causing them to not be as polite as they usually would, but it's obvious that this lady's rudness is a character trait she seems to be proud of. I do hope she has the day she deserves. 😉

I ordered my food to go, but decided to eat part of it inside to save time. I’m a truck driver, always on a tight schedule. The staff refused to let me sit down, even though I had paid. That was disappointing and unprofessional.
Never back again here.

Perfect small spot for breakfast that is very popular with locals for good reason - great food and great service for a good price.

The food was very good and friendly service. The restaurant has a small town feel and a bonus of being privately owned. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Such a friendly and down to earth atmosphere, created by family owners who make you feel as if you’re an out of town relative come home to visit. Greetings and hugs and oh don’t think you’re not going to get cracked on!!!🤣🤣 The food is fresh and prepared with the utmost care, served with the greatest hospitality. Family successes and family struggles are shared and prayed about. There is only one real authentic Waffle Iron, it’s in Marianna, Fl, owned and operated by two of my dear friends. We love the Waffle Iron…… Oh and did I tell you, We Love The Waffle Iron. Mike Bighem.

Had a great breakfast at the waffle iron this morning. The blueberry pancake was great, and the bacon and eggs were cooked as ordered. I love the down to earth hometown people that gather there. Nice people are always welcome. I love the NO pets policy. No dog hair near my table. Hope to see you at the Waffle Iron.

Not only do they have a down home family atmosphere, they have a wonderful variety of different foods to choose from. Very clean, very professional and always willing to make the food the way you want it. If you haven't been to the Waffle Iron in Marianna Florida, you're definitely missing out on some of the best foods and amazing service. Our family has been eating here for years and when I say years most of the time on a daily basis. The best !!!
