When we got there, there wasn't much parking. Which I understand for a small town local business that got hit by the hurricane ? and is trying to rebuild as well as possible. But, there were many bees, no air conditioning, and an "eh" vibe to it. ?. 3 of us got the pulled pork. It was quite dry and in clumps. But, still great tasting. The potato salad was amazing ?! The beans..... Were interesting....Tasting.....A bit spicy And thick....But good ??.....We got there and the entrance was through back which had many wasps flying around. We had to walk through the whole building through the back just to get to the register, where you order and pay at the same place/time. The whole building had a very interesting vibe......it was quite expensive as well. For 3 pulled pork sandwiches ? (each with a side), a brisket sandwich ?, a meal of brisket with a side, 2 beers, and 2 waters, it was $91.85!!!

If you have not tried this hidden gem for some great BBQ, you are missing out. Their staff was very welcoming and friendly. Now to the food. St. Louis style ribs were amazing. The brisket was good as well was expect it to be more juicy and tender but it was still good. Potato salad and coleslaw were both great very sweet and savory. If you are not paying attention you will pass right by this small quaint place and its well worth the drive to Matlacha. We will definitely return for more.

Awesome! Even though it’s a bbq place, we had the Triple Tail fish and it was the best fish I’ve ever had. Tater tots and potato salad rounded out the meal.

This place is awesome. It’s the only place around where you can get big beef ribs, which are one of the best things in the bbq world. They are not cheap, but good bbq never is. The rib I had was excellent, perfect smoke and cook with great seasoning. Fantastic Texas BBQ in SWFL! I’ll be back for sure.

Great barbque. Husband had pork Ribs,potato salad and green beans. I had pulled pork and Cole slaw. Very good light clean smoke flavor. Can't wait to go back for smoked fish.
Had the brisket & ribs there last nite. Hubby says best brisket he ever had! Ribs were very tender too. Sides of creamy coleslaw & baked beans were awesome too! We will be back to try other stuff on menu soon!
Was out with my niece Paige and her mom Kerri at Matlacha today and found this amazing place. Melt in your mouth beef ribs and brisket! Was so good I bought some to take home for my husband. The place was completely destroyed by Ian but the owner has completely remade it. It’s full of local history and the owner has a story for almost everything in there.I highly recommend this establishment for the excellent food, the ambience and the great conversation ? Thank you for an informative discussion.
