For less than it cost for a basic McDonald’s meal you can come here and get some real food. Their fried chicken buffet is really good, and you would have to drive a long way to find a burger near as good.

I stopped into the Mayo Café recently, hoping to enjoy their buffet. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t what I expected. The dining area was very dark and poorly lit, which made it hard to see the food clearly. Once I got to the buffet, I noticed there were no heat lamps or visible temperature control, and the food didn’t appear to be kept warm.

To be honest, everything on the buffet looked unappetizing, and without proper temperature management, I was concerned about food safety. Because of that, I chose not to eat and decided to leave.

On a positive note, the staff member at the host counter was very kind and welcoming. I didn’t complain, but I also won’t be returning. Based on what I observed, I can’t recommend the buffet.

Have a backup plan. Showed up Saturday morning at 7:15 and waited over 20 minutes not to get served at all. Only 2 tables were in use when we arrived. Took my 4yr daughter to the next town to feed her.

This is the best food place in mayo and would be for most places too. Dont let it fool you by the looks. Ask to look at a menu if you dont want the buffet. I recommend the burger.

Its definitely a home town Cafe complete with deer heads. Its pretty rough looking on the outside but inside is much better. The salad bar has just a couple salad toppings and 4 salad dressings but quite a few side salads. The cucumber salad was great..there are pasta salads, beets, jello salad,.peaches, banana pudding and more. The hot food bar has really good fried chicken althoughit was barely warm, the baked chicken was empty, corn, green beans and spaghetti. We enjoyed our lunch. Hubby had the pulled pork BBQ and it was pretty good. I would go back if ever in this little town.

This place is really run down. The food was mediocre buffet. Restroom doors were sticky and disgusting, and the restrooms had the walls falling off. My seat.
Was hard and the cushion was pretty much gone.

My boyfriend and I just moved here from Columbus, GA. This little joint was recommended for lunch so we stopped by.

Amazing customer service. The ladies were all smiles and super friendly. They were very attentive and helpful!

The food buffet was absolutely amazing! The collards are some of the best I’ve ever had!

We will definitely be visiting again! 🤍🤘🏼

Food is great.. But the place is very dirty. The bathroom light switch is filthy black in the bathroom. Floors are very gross. I was also told that leftovers from previous day were placed the next day, not fresh.
Would be a great place if owner took pride in their restaurant.
