Sabor De Cuba Restaurant

Driving from Miami airport to Punta Gorda, Florida, I was craving Cuban food, but the traffic in Miami proper was horrible, so I Googled and came up with 'Sabor de Cuba' in Hialeah, Florida.
It did not look like much from the outside, but when I went in, I immediately noticed how sparkling clean the place was.
I was greeted by a lovely girl named Lily,
who only spoke Spanish.
I speak a little Spanish myself and was able to order exactly what I wanted. Macitas de puerco, Frijoles, Yuca, and sweet plantains.
The chef brought the food out to me herself and made sure I had everything I wanted along with the coldest beer I've ever had! I must say I am a connoisseur of Cuban Cuisine, and this was probably the best I've ever had in a restaurant. The staff was super sweet and attentive and went out of their way to make sure I had a good experience, despite the language barrier. In the end, the chef brought me a taste of their arroz con leche, which was amazing. I was sent on my way with a to go cup of the best Cafe Cubano I've had in a long time. I will absolutely drive 20 minutes out of my way the next time I go to Miami Airport to visit this place again.

Well be aware prices are wrong. Very expensive for what and where this place is. The rice and frijoles negros was very good so was the tostones. The palomilla on the other hand was tougher than leather as expected this cut of beef is not meant to be filleted and used as a steak. But it was my only option as everything was not available. I got there at 10:59am I asked for a Cuban sandwich didn’t have it do to the pernil being roasted. I asked for any type of stew carne guisada or ropa vieja nothing nada only palomilla or chicken breast grilled. What a let down I drive a truck and came in from GA drove all night to deliver at 730am and was looking forward to a Cuban lunch. I’m not saying to their defense the beans and rice was tasty and served hot do was the tostones. But meat was a let down. Then to top it off I paid $24.60 plus a $3 tip and then I asked for a piece of bread toasted usually it’s free and included in a meal but not here I was charged $1.07 so in total I paid $29 for lunch this is ridiculous and quite frankly a ripoff literally highway robbery. I should have gone to el palacio de los juegos like I normally do and gotten way better food at a decent price. So disappointed. Also hurt me financially I was so hungry that at that point I just wanted to eat and I been got. So I’m sorry I can’t say anything but truth. The waitress was nice in taking my order that’s about it place looks run down. And prices need to be updated on google maps and on their website that wax the lure I thought I would have an amazing lunch for $18-$20 bucks. Whack!!! Look at pics so you’re not disappointed like me.

I couldn’t get any service. They sat me down and left me. Set a timer and after 10 mins left. Can’t rate the food, I never got any.

Wonderful hidden Gem! Five stars. The food was fantastic. The Moro has traditional Cuban flavor. Very nicely ce staff. Clean and accessible. Fair prices I hope ghoul recommend this place! The Vaca Frota was a good as my mom’s was. Enjoy!

First time going and I hope it's not the last. The food is above all, super delicious. The ribs came out of the bone by themselves? The service in the mother. My waitress (Lily) was very helpful, always making sure everything was fine. I can't fail to mention that best of all, they didn't take long to bring the food, I thought I was in a fast food ?. I definitely recommend it 100%Onelove

Food and service was good... was definitely authentic no waitress spoke English thank goodness for Google translate it was a cool place to eat and they had beer I'd never heard of before and the first time I had Cuban coffee great stuff it felt like I was in a different country but not in a bad
