Merritt (My) Island Pancake House

We were there today and service was very slow. We got food after 1 hour . When ordering my food I asked the waiter if I have to pay extra for my meal and he said no. I then received my check and got charged a lot more. He then said they charge more for the meal I got. I also told the owner and she did nothing about it. Will never return again!! They should hire people that know what they are doing and not to rip people off.

I say Yesss 👏 as we rang the BELL ON OUR WAY OUT - our family will be back again and again.. We finally tried this place after passing by numerous times after church yesterday. The staff were amazing and the food was great.. More than I could finish.. I didn’t even know they had a Salad Bar!! This place is really popular for breakfast 🥞 ! Even though we came after usual rush time, it was still packed. The food itself was okay, but a little pricey. My problem was more so with the service, it took about a hour for food to come out and we had like four different waitresses. Some of my custard 🍮 turned into hard blocks when I finally got it, so maybe it was done before I got it for a while? The table next to us got these hashbrowns that were literally pitch black too! I would come back to try other items, but it was alright.

It was my first time there and the food was terrific. I have celiac disease and was nervous when the menu said gluten friendly. Our waitress Jay assured me she’d alert the kitchen staff and they’d wipe down the grill and stuff. Made me feel much better. I had the cinnamon roll pancakes, eggs, and bacon and it was great. The pancakes were gooey, sweet and decadent. The eggs were fluffy and delicious. And our waitress Jay was really nice, attentive, and helpful. I will say there was no ac and our first booth was dirty and we asked to move. I heard the manager say the ac would be fixed soon and the good drastically outweighed the bad. Overall an excellent experience.

Update three years later. I'm now gluten free and the strawberry blueberry cheesecake pancakes with gluten free batter were SO GOOD. They had three to a stack and I had 3/4 of them. I was so stuffed for hours after. These are bomb.

Let’s just say they live up to their name as pancake house! I thought it was a little bit of hype but once you have their breakfast, loosen your belt! It’s really good and service was excellent as well

Wow! Amazing experience. Service was excellent. Kathy was my waitress and took outstanding care of me with a smile. Food was so good. The cinnamon roll pancakes were my favorite. Loved the nice quiet atmosphere.
