I remember when Hammond Bakery was on 191st &NW 37th Ave. Everybody from school would go there to get the patties and the lines were long! I am talking about 77’s and early 80’s! Even tho the food is good, the quality of the patties and curry has changed , just not the same. The original Pattie maker in those days must have retired by now! Miss it! The patties were made from scratch! No Jamaican Restaurant anywhere can make the patties Hammond’s Bakery made in those...

Patty was dry and mostly crust. The young woman at the counter has terrible customer service skills. I repeated my order to her twice and she still got it wrong and proceeded to say “You didn’t say that…” with an attitude after I politely corrected her because it seems like serving customers really puts her out of her way. I would’ve given her some grace but this is the 3rd time I’ve received this type of service from this young woman on 3 separate occasions and others...

As always, there was a line, but the ladies who work there are quick in packing and serving. The food is always delicious!
Vegetarian options: veggie patties and cabbage as a side item
