I was very excited to try this place as I love egusi and fufu and was so disappointed! The egusi was very oily and had distinct flavorsor seasoning. I got the goat and beef and both were chewy and tough. The fufu was fine. I also got Jollof rise and there was no spice! No spice and again no distinct jollof flavors. The meal cost around $65 dollars so to pay so much for a disappointing meal is unfortunate. I would not recommend this place

The first time I ordered from this restaurant, one item was missing from my order and the second time, they mixed up and messed up my order. I was a little upset but I just let it slide cos the food tasted good. I've ordered about 3-4 times after that and it's been good so far. I however have to point out that the peppered gizzard which is supposed to be mixed in pepper sauce and be spicy isn't at all what it's supposed to be. It's more like gizzard mixed in regular stew and isn't spicy. In my most recent order, I wanted two bowls of the gizzard but what I got was gizzard mixed in stew and wasn't spicy at all, I was quite disappointed about this.

Pls let peppered gizzard be peppered gizzard and not stewed gizzard!!!

I’ve been watching TikTok as lately everyone is trying FUFU… so on my birthday I decided I want to try some authentic Nigerian cuisine! My friend suggested I go to MAMA SHERI RESTAURANT!! I’m so glad I did.. I WANTED FUFU FOR MY BIRTHDAY & GOT FUFU FIR MY BIRTHDAY ❣️ I ENJOYED IT SO MUCH… They made me feel really welcomed being that I wasn’t knowledgeable about the menu, everything LOOKED so delicious!! 10 out of 10 must go!! I Fantastically delicious BIRTHDAY DINNER!! 👑

Sheri was a very pleasant lady and super sweet. I had vegetable soup with fufu, egusi soup with fufu and cow feet. It was very tasty and yummy. Btw it was our first time trying African food and we loved it. Thank you and God bless you.

Mrs. Sherri is an amazing cook if you're looking for an African flare. Very relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy your food. Me and my boyfriend make sure to go at least once a month and sometimes bring others to join.

African food is just as delicious as other types of cuisine. I highly recommend you try it out at this restaurant. It's my favorite restaurant for African food and they give good portions.

As a Nigerian myself, this is a place to AVOID. Horrible and dishonest people. These cheats are also very belligerent on the phone, They attempted to make me blame the Uber driver for their mistakes which would be destroying other people's livelihood and I haven't even gotten to the food. The food is one of the worst from any Nigerian restaurant in the United States that I have tried. They are truly the first with zero wow factor. All their food tasted like they were prepared 2 weeks ago! This is not a good Nigerian restaurant and even worse are the people who operate this thing. They feel they are unaccountable after giving you their nasty food, lack of ability to complete a order, and inability to accommodate simple requests like sending cutlery which was explicitly stated to them. This place should be shut down.

Ordered food uber eats to my hotel. Part of my order was delivered. Called and spoke to owner an she told me to call and blame uber to get the rest of the food. Then she told me to order a coke and she would send the food instead. I asked who was paying for Uber and she said I should notify uber the food was never delivered. The audacity to request I cheat an uber driver. The uber did not make the mistake. I ask why she doesn't just place an uber order and send the rest of the food to me. She hung up on me. I called back twice and she still hung up.

The food was not okay. They are freestyling nigerian food. Egusi was oily and not flavored. It was like it was thawed after weeks of being in the freezer. Moi moi was just okay. Designer stew was nasty. Definitely not worth the hassel or the dirty practices.

The place needs to shut down. This isn't your gift. Let go and move past this pipe dream.
