We got the chicken sandwich (on waffles) and a wings dinner (with Mac and cheese and fries). The fries were nice and crispy. Well seasoned Mac & cheese and chicken. A HARD PASS ON THE DRINKS THOUGH! $20 for a very skinny glass filled with ice and a tiny bit of the alcoholic lemonade drink. No glasses of water even?? Only bottled for sale. Just don't do it, believe me. If you're just going for the basics (chicken, fries, waffles, mac) then definitely go for it, but don't bother with the drinks at all. And bring a bottle of water lol.

First of all, when I entered no one was in the restaurant. I had to keep calling for someone to come out and serve me. Then there was no menu to hold. The menu is on a screen that changes frequently so you are unable to see all choices at one time. I asked for a menu and was told that I could use my phone to scan the QR code. I didn't do that. How hard is it for a company to create and laminate a menu???? Why do black restaurants go so cheap? They keep catering to a younger age group and missing out on the demographic that has their homes paid up. On a positive note, the seafood rice was tasty but needed more seafood, and the drink tasted good.

If you want to try The Licking…try the Pembroke Pines location only…this one is terrible…ordered through UberEats(also terrible) fried conch dinner and for $22 got a handful of conch crumbs. The sold out of the chicken rolls and the offered me a substitution ( never agree to the substitution it is never an equal exchange for what you pay for) lemon pepper wings.They sent 5 tiny burnt wings. Mind you, the chicken rolls were $18.99 per order…I ordered two because my family loves them and they thought that five burnt wings were an adequate substitute for $35 in chicken rolls. Pathetic! Despite the incident that occurred there the service was good, but they need to make sure homeless people are removed from area or in front of store to get better business coming
