First of all, when I entered no one was in the restaurant. I had to keep calling for someone to come out and serve me. Then there was no menu to hold. The menu is on a screen that changes frequently so you are unable to see all choices at one time. I asked for a menu and was told that I could use my phone to scan the QR code. I didn't do that. How hard is it for a company to create and laminate a menu???? Why do black restaurants go so cheap? They keep catering to a younger age group and missing out on the demographic that has their homes paid up. On a positive note, the seafood rice was tasty but needed more seafood, and the drink tasted good.
If you want to try The Licking…try the Pembroke Pines location only…this one is terrible…ordered through UberEats(also terrible) fried conch dinner and for $22 got a handful of conch crumbs. The sold out of the chicken rolls and the offered me a substitution ( never agree to the substitution it is never an equal exchange for what you pay for) lemon pepper wings.They sent 5 tiny burnt wings. Mind you, the chicken rolls were $18.99 per order…I ordered two because my family loves them and they thought that five burnt wings were an adequate substitute for $35 in chicken rolls. Pathetic! First Night in Miami. This is the first stop on a long list of food dreams. Our group ordered a variety from the menu. I highly recommend you take a look at the menu prior if possible. Drinks are excellent (no alcohol at the location). Sweet enough to cover dessert also. #1 dish to order: Alfredo!!!!!!

The food is tasty. The value for my selected choices is fantastic. You could never go wrong with the Bogo. I always order through DoorDash or Uber eats and the service is good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for tasty meals.

I think I found my new favorite combo. I ordered the fried broccoli once, and after requesting less salt they literally made it to perfection. Really appreciate the thought that went into making my meal.

The food was very very good! . We had chicken and waffles and the shrimp dinner with broccoli and mac N cheese. All of the food was DELICIOUSLY TASTYi .. Extremely Fresh and Hot !! We were from the Atlanta Georgia area and wanted some southern food. Our group decided with the restaurant based on reviews and the menu. We definitely enjoyed our food and would definitely recommend The Licking
