J*** Oxtails! Hmmm....One of my favorite ice cream places called Yum Yum Ice Cream (old school drive thru/sitting area) closed a few months ago and was recently replaced by Jammin' J*** in Miami Gardens...I thought.....NOOOO!!! The ice cream was sooo good and I was thinking "not another j*** spot" LOLI gave Jammin J*** a try to support during their grand opening and I was left underwhelmed. I remember that the chicken was tender but needed more flavor....spice blend, spicy, smokey, a distinctive flavor....Last week I read that my favorite Yum Yum Ice Cream was BACK (Yessssssssss) combined with Jammin Jerk...Jammin J*** is promoting their new J*** Oxtail dish that piqued my interest...just like curry oxtails. I just purchased a half pound of j*** oxtails with two sides....Corn and Rice n Peas....came with bread (assuming hard dough)...I didn't open it. Sorry! They also have festival, j*** chicken and pork.Small menu....The corn was delicious! Fresh, slightly sweet and flavorful. The rice was fresh, soft with an odd small amount of peas....needed more coconut, thyme, scallions, berries...So the star of the show....The J*** Oxtails....Hmmm it's the same critique as the chicken. It has potential! It's good but not great! I hardly tasted the "***** flavor. It was slightly smokey. Tender but nothing special. Honestly for $16.99 (a large j*** chicken) it was not worth the price … the portions are extremely small for the price and as for the taste the chicken was extremely dry and tasteless and the plantains were hard and cold and the festival wasn’t soft and felt like I was biting into a piece of brick. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone that wants authentic Jamaican food and this is a review coming from a Jamaican.

Just left here and ordered the white meat, j*** (chicken only). It came up to $22 for basically two pieces of breast meat cut up. The portion is so small compared to other places, I don’t see how these reviews claim to be so good.

I am sure that this ? shop should have been in the shopping center cause it's slowing and stopping traffic from going up 183rd and Miami Gardens Dr. We already have Popeye's doing it. That was a big bad idea for that ? shop. Don't know why Miami Gardens city hall let them to do that knowing the traffic that goes up that drive street.!!! They really need to move them so traffic can go thru like it post too.?? I'm so glad they are gone, Prise the Lord ????...

Went to Popeyes one day to pick up an order and I’d be dammed the grill opened, that bbq smoke ouuweeee I ain’t even get the Popeyes acted like a nice child gave the Popeyes to my folks ? 10/10(The j*** is SPICY but SWEET not no runny nose spicy.Kid-friendliness: My kids loved the vibe and the desserts the were dancing giving mom and dad a show

The best j*** I've had since being in Miami! It's not perfect but it's pretty close! The rice and peas is on point, the spice of the j*** is on point, they cooking it right there outside, you can sit outside too, nice vibes and it's a drive through ....great!

I had the j*** chicken and the j*** pork. Came back twice since then. I just ate here for the third time. Food is consistent, chicken and pork was tender and full of flavor. I highly recommend this spot.

Order the dark meat j*** chicken it was amazing. Must try it. All this spices. They should also do j*** pork and beef ! Good seasoning. Also just wish they had plain rice without peas for the kids. Will go again !

Excellent tasting j*** chicken. Had the j*** wings very good. Only thing the wings could cook a little bit more. Otherwise Excellent taste. Better than what I have had so far in America. I hope they stick to that receipe and don't change it. Perfect. Not too hot (as in spicy) just enough to make you ready!!!! ? rice and peas yummy!

I actually smelled the food before I got there bcuz the grill in the back was cold ok’ing up some of the best j*** chicken I’ve had since Jamaica? the chicken taste like it’s been seasoned for days before grilling it so delicious and even the rice is jerked. I’ve been back at least twice a week now and same delicious taste ???
