the quality of the meat has decreased. It is not as flavorful as before and we requested medium cooked and we got 3/4 which was not bad., The sides are fine as usual. Suggest they go back to their original meat suppliers.

I've been dining at El Novillo in Miami Lakes for over 35 years, and it has long been a place tied to special family gatherings and celebrations. My last visit on New Year's Eve 2024/2025, however, left me a bit disappointed—the service and overall attention just didn't match the high standard I had come to expect over the decades. This most recent visit, though, reminded me exactly why I've been coming here for so long. From the moment we walked in, the manager personally greeted us, recognized me as a longtime guest, and assured us that this experience would be different. True to his word, he stopped by our table a couple of times throughout the evening to make sure everything was perfect. That small gesture set the tone for what became the best experience I've ever had at El Novillo. The service was exceptional—thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely warm. Every detail was handled with care, from timing the courses just right to anticipating needs before we even had to ask. The food was as excellent as always, beautifully presented and consistently delicious, but it was the elevated service and attention that truly stood out. After this visit, I can confidently say that El Novillo has reaffirmed itself as the place I will continue to return to for family events and celebrations. It felt like coming home to the restaurant I've cherished for decades, but with a renewed energy and hospitality that made the evening unforgettable.

For large group I would have liked a bit more space or a private area

The gallo pinto is trash, the waiters rude and you cant split a bill and are forced to pay a 18%. The only reason i gave 2 stars is because the carne asada was on point, but sadly its not worth the bad experience

Haven’t been to a el novillo in 20 years but it is still exactly like I remember it !!

The meats and cheese were all wonderful at the restaurant

It has a Nicaraguan food that is stellar !!

It was family friendly and I saw kids living the food

Servers were treating the customers like family

And the live music was a wonderful touch

The also have outdoor seating with fans and it felt quite nice

Would definitely come back and enjoy and evening here

Everything was perfect, except the salad. They could make it a little more substantial. The churasco, pinto gallo, plantain strips and sangria were delicious.

Quality of food horrible steak cooked at wrong temperature with no taste. Place is nothing like it used to be.

got a bottle of champagne..waiter had an attitude and didnt bring us a ice bucket but other tables had one. disappointed after not going for so long. fried cheese was flavorless
