The food here is excellent, but I noticed a significant number of flies—at least 10 within just one minute of being there. I’ve been visiting this place for nearly 10 years, but the issue with flies has become a persistent concern.

You can tell the few girls working there do not want to be there, poor customer service. The rice doesnt have ANY flavor same with the beans. Pollo Tropical is not for me. 4$ for a fountain drink cause they only sell Large size? What a rip off

Pollo is in a convenient spot. The beans are the best feature in my opinion. I usually buy the quarter chicken with rice and beans. It comes with a dinner roll as well. I find the chicken is tender, and seasoned just enough. Con: it’s not a food that warms up well the next day. It’s best fresh the day you buy it, and can taste raw-ish the next day. The beans however, are always good and are a good leftover meal. I would also suggest the guava BBQ sauce.
I’ve only bought take out from this location.

My order container was dirty. Inside of my order of potatoes there was a piece of fried yuca!!! The fries were stiff. I always love Pollo Tropical, but it’s so sad to waste your money on something that’s so poor quality and dirty.

Every time my husband and I go, without fail, the rice will always be burnt or under cooked and they barely give you chicken or any topping you ask for. And if they do they give it to you wrong. I will never go to this location ever again, it's a waste of money. Better off going to the one in 49st.

I had eaten at this location several times as a college student, and now as a grown adult when I visit Miami. The food is always consistent, and the staff are hard working. This location gets extememly busy at all times of the day so ordering ahead is the way to go if you are not planning to dine in. The inside could use a little TLC but not a turn-off from eating here. The tropichop bowl and yucca bites are the way to go. It keeps me full for hours and is satisfying for sure! I highly recommend this location!
