“This bar offers more per square inch of its space than most. Excellent artisinal cocktails of varying flavor types for both kava and kratom tea. A well decorated space with emphasis on the roots of kava in hawaiian culture. Best of all, and what I find most bars lack in and what I always find myself outsourcing in them, is a full food menu. Great selections too for most hunger necessities. They also have an roofed, open space in the back to enjoy the weather. The bartenders match the warm and mellow vibe; especially my favorite bartender Sam. The owner and their very charismatic family make up much of the staff which lends to the idyllic, homey ambience of a family owned business. Its obvious a lot of thought and care went into every detail which is why I wouldnt hesitate to check it out.“

“Easily the worst restaurant I’ve been to. Drinks were $32 but mostly ice, we had to request service in an empty restaurant, and there were folks allowed to peruse the restaurant for opportunities. We finally requested appetizers only to learn they weren’t available after a burger and chicken sandwich was delivered. They mentioned they provided a discount for inconvenience, but it was simply waiving the fee for the item that never showed. The 4.9 listing was solely because they only had 40 visitors. Don’t come here. Go to the speakeasy downstairs“

“I typically love Tap 42; it's a regular in my restaurant rotation and my parents always request to eat there whenever they visit. However, the service this time was horrible. If it were my first time eating there, I would never return. They seated us out of the way because they said a large party was going to be seated around the other corner and it would be loud. My mom even said, "Ok, thank you -- as long as you don't forget about us," and they assured us that they would not. But, of course, they did. The server constantly forgot things we had asked for, and when we asked again, he wouldn't even apologize for forgetting. At one point, I had to get up and go into the restaurant (we were sitting outside) to ask for coffee and the check. (Note -- They don't have decaf coffee.) Instead of doing that, though, we could have probably just gotten up and walked away because we had been waiting about 20 minutes from when our plates were cleared before I decided to go in. Other servers were even coming outside to attend to other tables, but they didn't check on us or remind our server that he had a table outside. And also, it wasn't busy inside, so I'm not sure what he was doing. Also, there was no one sitting in the section that they said would be loud, so they put us out of the way to forget about us for no reason. It was a horrible experience.“
