My husband and family were thrilled! I had a billion questions throughout the process since we were traveling with the cake 6 hours in the car, and as always they were super accommodating and attentive to every question.. went above and beyond for me! Beautiful cakes. Visually stunning. Moist & delicious. Not overly sweet. The cake pops for our gender reveal were a huge hit. And a last minute peach raspberry cake was great. Tart flavor of fresh peaches and berries, and the macaroons topping melts in your mouth. Looking forward to try their other flavors!!

Sarah Lu truly delivered! I got so many compliments on the cookies, cupcakes and the cake!!! Aesthetically, she did amazing and the flavor and textures of everything was absolutely delicious!! I was so impressed! I asked for super simple, like a simple white cake and basic cupcakes, but she added her unique design from my inspo pics and it went so perfectly with my theme. So creative yet still simple! I was obsessed with my cake and the little bumble bees and touch of greenery, that matched the cupcakes?Thank you so much Sarah Lu! ?✨?

Just want to say if you're looking for a birthday cake or any celebratory cake, definitely choose Sarahlu! I was visiting Miami with my friends for one of their 30th birthdays and I found Sarahlu through some Google searching, they offered local delivery for a fee (totally reasonable) which would've saved me the cost of ubering roundtrip to pick up the cake. One, the employee who delivered the cake was extremely kind, arrived five minutes early and waited for me until I was ready to come out to get the cake. Two, the owner was super patient when I was placing the order via phone. Three, the cake (chocolate cake) was exactly as it looked in the pictures. And most importantly, the cake was absolutely delicious! It was such a hit and the chocolate cake was not overbearingly sweet and it was rich in chocolate flavor. Highly, highly recommend. Sarah, you are killing it in the cake business!

They executed everything exactly as I envisioned and everything looked stunning and absolutely delicious. To give context on why my scoring is low I'll began by providing a timeline: January 31: This is first email sent inquiring about the purchasing a cake for 15 guests for a party March 26 February 1: The company replied the smallest cake serves 18 guests and ask me to include pictures of my design for an accurate price February 2: I sent photos and a description of what I'd like for the cake. The company replied the same day asking when I needed the cake February 7: I changed the details for the cake and the company replied that there were no issues with my request giving me a price listing of $540 plus tax for a cake feeding 18. My event started at 11 therefore, I locked in the time to pick the cake up at 10. February 15: I requested the invoice to pay for the cake and received an email from the company the same day February 16: Everything was locked in and payment was made March 24: As I was traveling to Miami, I received a phone call asking if I could resend a picture from my original request because the company was unable to open it. I resent the photo March 26: I figured I'd swing by the cake shop early to take a look at the cake in case there were any issues I needed addressed. I went to the cake shop a little after 0930 and it wasn't open, although the sign on the door and online said they opened at 0900. I called and the person who answered asked if I could pick up the cake at 11 because there had been a power outage the night prior. In my mind I'm thinking if there was a power outage the night prior I would have gotten to work earlier the next day to fulfill the obligation I have to ensure my client's cake was finished on time. But I guess that just how I conduct business, which is different for everyone. I told her my event started at 11 and that required me leaving the event, in which I was hosting to pick up a cake, that should have already been prepared. Mind you my initial request was to pick up at 10:00 am because my event started at 11:00am. That same day I was emailed at 10:46 am asking if I could pick up the cake around 12pm I arrived to pick up the cake up at 1100 and the cake was in a box with the top opened, the lid quickly shut and hurried to my car. Once I arrived at the venue I opened the box to find half of a "cigar" made for the cake stuck on the back of the cake, it looked like a piece of a turd (for lack of better phrasing). It wasn't even part of the original cigar which was in place on the cake, so I was truly baffled as to why it was there. I digress. The whole cake ordeal was a mess and my chef whom had the food prepared by 11 (services on time as true professionals) was waiting to be paid making me looking unprofessional once I made it back to the venue by 1130. This company never offered to deliver my cake to the venue even though they were at fault for the cake being late. There was no sincere apology delivered for the inconvenience they caused. They didn't offer to take off any money toward this cake or future items, a free cookie, a water bottle......they offered nothing. This is why I do not like paying people for services upfront because they slight you on the backend. The bow tie of the cake was sloppily painted it looked rushed and last minute. I have included a picture below. I will never purchase any products from here again, anyone who knows what this cake represents I would suggest you do not purchase from here either. The lack of customer service I was provided could be for any number of reasons but it was unacceptable. After paying almost $600 for a cake you would expect a heartfelt apology, at minimum, for the inconvenience they caused during this celebration. As far as the cake is concerned, the attention to detail is great as it pertained to the insignia and other trinkets (outside the half made cigar I referenced and the bow tie which was sloppy). The taste of the cake was average, nothing that made you have to go back for another piece. To be honest I've had much better experiences with far less cost and better custo

One word: EXCEPTIONAL.Prior to meeting Ana, I had "interviewed" (purchased a sample) from eight bakeries for a very high profile project. So when I tell you Ana stands head and shoulders above the rest, I have a pretty good frame of reference.My project required cookies to be made so they corresponded with a 6 foot tall statue and statue illustration. Every bakery submitted 4 - 6 inch round or rectangular cookies with a photo copy of my artwork on top as their sample.But not Ana. Ana told me she was going to create a mold in the shape of my artwork. So, before she could submit her sample she needed to know one thing: How tall would I like the cookie statue to be?"I can make a sample any size you want." Ana said, "And then, if you would like a six foot tall cookie that's an exact replica of the statue, we can do that."Wait. WHAAATTTT???? (I almost fell off my chair.)In that moment I knew: Ana was The One.Ultimately, I decided on 12" tall cookie statues. Each, Ana had skillfully "hand painted" (over the edible frosting photocopy) and an exact replica of my six foot tall statue.Ana delivered edible works of art and demonstrated creative vision and capabilities that put her in a class all by herself.Remarkable.

Omg! First let me say how extraordinarily fantastic this place is. I stumbled upon Sarahlu Confections online while searching for uniquely designed cakes. I was tired of the typical cakes you find in a shop or a store and I wanted something unique and tailored that wasn't going to be a budget killer. And I happened to find this place online and messaged the business to get a quote for a custom designed cake for my 30th birthday and was stunned to find out that not only were they willing to accommodate the size of the cake along with the images that I emailed them from Pinterest but they had a variety of splendid and delicious sounding cake flavors which reminded me of my time back in Italy. Typical standard American super-sugary frosting and dried out overbearingly crumbly cakes are nasty. I find those appalling so I was looking for something that would give me a sweet yet light and delicious taste in my mouth that wouldn't make me sick to my stomach. Let me just say this, the cake was amazing!! I chose a vanilla bean flavored cake entwined with a raspberry jam mixed with a lychee syrup with a decadent Italian butterscotch frosting. Each bite you took wanted you craving a tiny slice more. Now the design of the cake was a one-tiered sapphire-blue exterior, painted-on edible gold flakes with 3 abstract shaped pieces of white chocolate carefully placed to exude luxury but edgy with a dash of flair. Truly in love with Sarahlu Confections and will return for my next event! Thank you!
