This restaurant has an indoor and outdoor space for eating. We picked indoors. There were 3 people serving but two were mostly behind the bar. The remaining server worked very hard but the wait for food was prolonged. The food was yummy. We shared a shrimp app with garlic. I had the roasted chicken with kale salad while my husband had the pasta with seafood. Both were very tasty. We could see the planes arriving and taking off so we enjoyed that. I had to go to the bar to get the bill. There was an 18% service charge and the next screen was 3%-7% tip??? I couldn't continue until I picked something. I think before that was a screen for choosing something other than 18%. It was a nice evening but they needed more servers!

We had dinner after a long day of flying, at The Pilot House. We were not expecting the food to be so amazing. The Baby back ribs, chicken wings ( flats) and the shrimp were phenomenal. We asked the chef's name and wanted to be sure to acknowledge Lauren, she makes the slow, poor service up front, absolutely worth while. Worth the time.to go thru the hotel lobby and up to the 6th floor. The atmosphere was nice, clean and updated. The fact that you are literally across the street from jet engines, kept us from eating outside. Otherwise, we'd highly recommend!

Food tasted like wax. Service was very slow. Waited 50 min for 2 burgers. We chose the burgers because they said chicken would take 30 min! Fountain soda was nasty

If you’re ever in Miami and stay at the Wyndham Garden Miami International airport hotel make a point to visit The Pilot House Bar and Restaurant. I had the guacamole with chimichanga and boy oh boy it was delicious! I had tiramisu for desert and that was yummy. Couldn’t decide if I wanted a cocktail or not so Danae suggested a mint lemonade that was so delicious and refreshing I asked for the recipe. The service was excellent (thanks Danae!) and the atmosphere sitting on the outdoor patio was perfect for me. This is going to be my “go to” place when I visit Miami. Be sure to ask for Danae if you want to be treated special!
