I have had a very good experience with 8th street so far. The food is quite enjoyable, though its highlights are split between the vast salad bar and the unique, varied, and delectable pastries. If you aren't willing to eat some veggies, you're going to be a bit more disappointed. They do have burgers, fries, hotdogs, and whatnot but those greasy fast-food options are rather limited. good meals sometimes, we are rated very high in food quality so it makes me ponder about other schools food situation… however they cancelled my meal plan for no reason. the waffles are my favorite.
The food wasn't nearly as bad as I initially thought it would be. The fries, green beans, and mac and cheese were good, but not great. The only issue is that the place would become absolutely packed on a weekday at lunchtime. FIU seriously needs a second dining hall to relieve crowding, but it would still be worth waiting for an open table.
