We visited Amara at Paraiso for dinner last night as a party of two. Unfortunately, the evening didn't meet expectations. We had to wait over 30 minutes for outdoor seating and eventually opted to sit inside. While waiting at the bar, the staff was not welcoming—the bartenders looked irritated, never greeted us, and didn't even ask about drinks. For dinner, we chose the Miami Spice menu with the surf & turf enhancement for two, along with an order of oysters. The oysters were excellent, fresh, and flavorful, but overall, the food was overly spicy and our server never mentioned that beforehand. Portions were on the smaller side, and the meal felt overpriced for what we received. Service was inconsistent. Our server was polite and generally good, though we often had to flag him down. What stood out negatively was seeing the manager personally introduce herself to the table next to us while completely ignoring ours. It gave us the impression that customer attention isn't consistent. Overall, while there were some highlights (like the oysters), the lack of hospitality at the bar, poor communication about the food, and inattentive management left us disappointed. Sadly, we don't think we'll be returning.

We were very disappointed with the service. I wanted this day to be special for my wife's 60th birthday, but the card I requested was never placed on the table. Our server took forever to take our order and then took a long time to bring us the check. Sadly, this really took away from the experience we were hoping for.

Food was tasty. Service was absolutely horrible and at the price point- you don't get to miss. Our server had a large party of 12-14. That took all her time. We literally ran out of water and our drinks and she never came around. Our meal came out and was incorrect (never got the lamb chorizo or our sauces) she never came around . We finally stopped another server and asked for more drinks. The sauces that came with the meat dish, salt, etc. By the way - still never got the lamb chorizo. She never asked if the food was okay even. She just said they “got busy.” Actually no- the restaurant was not at all busy. She was because of the big party she had. And that isn't our problem- we were paying customers. No apology Dessert came and then it was an extremely long wait again to try to flag her down for the check. Just crap service. No manager checking in on people to see how it was going. There are too many good restaurants in Miami to pay the price point you charge for such abysmal service

Beautiful setting with great views. Service was very slow. The fish was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Half of the table tried the Miami Spice tuna appetizer but spent a good deal of time removing the overwhelmingly spicy sauce from the tuna. It's a shame because the tuna was very fresh.

I always want to love it here. Beautiful spot and good food when they have what's on the menu. They were out of what we wanted last night. Worse part is the service. Never consistent. Chasing down our server and asking for our food was not enjoyable.

Amazing dinner experience with friends and family, our table outside was beautiful, and the view views and decor are absolutely stunning. Our staff was very friendly and overall it was a magnificent dinner.

Miami Spice Dinner Menu is an excellent value. Food was great. Beers could be colder, but drinks were good. Overall a great visit. Will repeat soon.
