We lived flamenco night. The paella was delicious. This is a little hidden gem on the west side of Miami. It's a must!!!

I seldom write a review but I find the need to express my 100% dissatisfaction of my experience.. Had a confirmed reservation November 16 2025 which upon arrival was informed that there was a wedding reception in our spot… Never was given an explanation instead was directed to Isla Canaria next door since they were owned by the same owners.. Isla Canaria’s is horrible in ALL aspects…terrible food service and atmosphere… my position is never to visit either place and would strongly advise anyone to do likewise unless you want to experience an unpleasant time…

I made a reservation at Amelia’s 1931 two days ago for my sister’s birthday brunch. Today, out of nowhere, the restaurant canceled it. No call, no explanation, nothing. Everyone I invited got the same cancellation email. That’s not just inconvenient it’s disrespectful.
I’ve been here before and honestly, it didn’t impress me, but I figured I’d give it another chance because the new brunch menu looked fun for a girls’ celebration. This experience confirmed I won’t be coming back. If a restaurant can’t handle something as simple as honoring a reservation or at least communicating with their guests, that says everything about how they value customers.
Miami has too many great places that actually care about their patrons. Amelia’s 1931 is not one of them. Disappointing from start to finish.

I absolutely love going to Amelia's 1931 and specially on Wednesday. We always have such a great time. The food, the drinks & the music is amazing. Just wish you had a small stage for the musicians so we could see them better from all over the restaurant.

The service here is always excellent & the food never disappoints. Highly recommend trying their cocktails, they’re different but delicious. Love the speakeasy vibes, perfect place for date night. Their brunch is also excellent.

It was our first time at this restaurant and we were very pleasantly surprised. Everything from drinks, appetizers, food entrees and desserts were all delicious. Great music and ambiance. Our server was very attentive and courteous. Only two observations: the main entrees were not served at the same time. Those of us that ordered the specials were served last so the rest of the group had already finished their meals by the time ours arrived. Having noted that, the manager was gracious to offer the desserts for free in compensation which was very nice. Second observation: after paying the bill it was noticed that we were charged $60 for two glasses of Cabernet which seems a mistake since cocktails and wine by the glass run about $18 but totally our fault for not checking it. Otherwise great place. We will definitely go again.

Where to begin… from the level of service to ambiance to taste of food plus entertainment was 5++. Jasmine (MOD) was AMAZING - from checking in with us while we waited for our table to helping her staff with a friendly smile - she was more than on point. Manny our server was great!!! He was informative- gave good suggestions- very attentive. We weren’t sure what to expect with “Cuban” food being in Miami - but it was great, flavorful/ tasty. The drinks were great too - the waitress while we waited suggested drinks based on what we like and did not disappoint. (Don’t remember her name sorry but would love to give her kudos as well). And then there was live entertainment- Jazz which we love. We can’t wait to come back. So glad we came here to celebrate my bf bday.

The atmosphere and service and Spanish show were excellent but much disappointed with the food. If you are going to advertise paella for two, it can't just have 3 mussels and two shrimp and a few scattered pieces of octopus. We did no taste any fish. You need an even number of mussels, at least two each, at least two prawns each, and some more octopus and a few pieces of fish. This paella was the paella most lacking in seafood that we've had. We do not recommend it, not even for one.

October 19, 2025. I recently hosted an event at Amelia‘s 1931. A bridal shower. And I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience! The service was exceptional, and every detail was taken care of. The ambience was perfect and our guest had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this restaurant. The only small complaint that I have is that the music by the new DJ was a little bit too loud where we had to scream to hold a conversation. Other than that, it was a wonderful wonderful event . PS specially Roxanne, which was the manager who coordinated everything for me. she went beyond her duties to make sure that everything was taken care of and also the other manager on the weekend which her name I don’t remember👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽😊😊😊
