Had an amazing experience at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza in Kendall this past weekend! The food was 🔥 as always, but what really stood out was the service. Mario, the manager, was awesome and made sure everything was perfect, and Yainelys was such a great server—attentive, friendly, and on point. Definitely one of my favorite go-to spots. Can’t wait to go back!💜

My boyfriend and I went for lunch/dinner since we hadn’t ate since early morning. We arrived and it took a bit before being provided with a menu, and when ordering our food we requested for sauces to eat along with the wings (buffalo and ranch) we only got blue cheese ? And my boyfriend needed his lemonade changed because it didn’t taste fresh. As well as my beverage strawberry lemonade but I didn’t want to continue to bring to the girls attention creating a negative experience. Coworkers seemed distracted with each other and just created a negative experience as a customer simple request weren’t met. Pizza was alright, and my boyfriend liked the wings (I personally found them to taste alright). Just think there should be a bit more attention to the customers and their request/needs.

I love Anthony’s food especially the chopped salad and the Desserts 🧁
I like that they have a variety of seating options (bar stools, benches, window seats, etc.) and i like that you can seat yourself. This was our first time, so my partner and i ordered their dry rub roasted wings and a 16” pizza with mushroom and pepperonis. Service was fast. Everything tasted fresh. Environment is laid back, an edge above a regular sports bar… i like how it’s decorated tho It feels very cozy and it’s clean. Dude on the grill who i assume is the manager sings throughout the kitchen which was fun for us. I went on Xmas eve and everyone was friendly despite working on a holiday so i think I’d visit again :)

My family and I have always enjoyed Anthony’s Pizza — the food is great, and normally the service is just as good. We visit the Kendall location often, and we’ve even brought family when they’re in town.
Unfortunately, today’s experience was one of the worst I’ve had dining out in a long time.
Our waitress, whose name I didn’t catch, was inattentive and repeatedly forgot simple requests. I ordered a pizza with peppers and red onions. She asked if I preferred caramelized or red onions — I said red — but my pizza arrived with caramelized onions instead. Mistakes happen, but when we tried to get her attention to fix it, she was nowhere to be found for quite a while. Honestly, it’s pizza — it’s not that complicated. You listen to the toppings and get them right.
My husband asked for ranch, which never came until the end of the meal. I had also asked to try one of the spicy peppers for next time — also never brought until we were basically done eating. When I finally mentioned that my order was wrong, she offered to have the kitchen make a new pizza to take home, but I declined and just asked for the ranch and pepper.
Every time she came by our table, she seemed to be in a rush to leave. There was no attentiveness or care — just a sense of going through the motions. It wasn’t just forgetfulness; it was carelessness and a complete disregard for our table.
When we were wrapping up, my husband asked for his military discount. She took his ID to show the manager — and then disappeared again for about 20 minutes. When she finally returned, she had his ID, the check, and a complimentary piece of cake. I appreciate the gesture, but by that point it just felt like adding insult to injury. We’d been sitting there long after we’d finished eating, just waiting to leave. Unfortunately, my husband tipped, which I asked him not to.
It wasn’t busy enough to excuse this level of poor service. One bad experience like this can really change a customer’s loyalty, and unfortunately, it has for us.
I’m only writing this so that management is aware — hopefully they can address the issue. We’ve always loved Anthony’s, but after tonight, I don’t see us returning to this location.

This is definitely the place to go for lunch. The lunch specials are amazing. We had the caprese salad, the broccolini and sausage app, and a pizza with pepperoni, arugula and, mikes hot honey. The food was superb. I spent my first half of the year in NYC and the pizza was definitely comparable. The broccolini and sausage were ok, they definitely add way more sausage than broccolini, I wouldn’t recommend it. The sausage is good but the dish was not balanced and it was not really hot. The caprese salad was very good. What really shines as in the name is the pizza, the crust was crisped perfect and the tomato sauce is excellent. Another thing that shines at this place is the service. Janyielis (I know I butchered the spelling of her name) was so attentive, nice, patient, and just provided phenomenal service. I was torn between a meatball app and broccolini and sausage, I picked the broccolini because I just can’t pass up a dish with broccolini, in her defense she told me how great the meatballs are (I should’ve trusted her, who doesn’t trust their server) anyways she brought me a meatball to try. I think that just goes above and beyond in the service industry. She didn’t have to do that but she did. They are lucky to have such an amazing server/bartender. The girl does it all. She made the experience.

We used to love this place, but the last few times have been disappointing. The garlic knots came out cold, and the pizza — even though we asked for extra cheese — had what felt like three pounds on it. It used to be great, but something’s changed. Management really needs to look into the food quality, because if things keep going this way, I can see this place closing soon.

went to the one in pompano. Ordered the meatball and long pepper sandwich lunch special for $9.99. it was 1 meatball on foccia bread. I called the server and told her I think they forgot the meatballs. she confirmed with me that the lunch special only has 1 meatball on it. the sliced it super thin. it was horrible
Within two seconds of walking into the restaurant I observed the person handling all the food trays and pizza rubbing his face in his nose with his ungloved hand then proceeding to touch everybody’s trays and food without washing his hands. That’s something I don’t want to see when I walk into the restaurant, especially when everybody’s sick this time of year he had a glove on one hand, but not the hand he was using to touch and rub everything.
The coal fired way they prepare their food is delicious. Not too expensive and can even last you a couple days with the amount they serve.
