Aoko is a top-notch omakase spot in Miami, offering high-quality sushi at a reasonable price. The impressive quality of fish, delicious rolls, and amazing sake make it a must-visit. Chef Tomo creates elevated nigiri and offers insightful tips that enhance the dining experience. Customers can enjoy an "off the menu" omakase that includes an appetizer, a selection of nigiri topped with various ingredients or flame broiled, miso soup, and dessert. The appetizer topped with uni is especially praised, and the nigiri is very fresh and flavorful, sometimes with unique toppings that add new flavors. The food and chef counter vibe receive top ratings, making the experience excellent. The restaurant is a low-key but still extremely elevated spot, great for date night. Come dressed up or come as you are, the vibe lends itself to whatever you’re in the mood for. The food was phenomenal, and they even had cold soba noodles (Cha Soba Salad) on the menu. The service was also incredible; they allowed guests to try a few sake options before deciding, which was very generous. Servers are extremely kind and add to the vibe 100%. Guests showed up with no reservations and were kindly let to sit down, though a reservation is recommended or come early as there are only a few tables. Everything about this experience was 10/10, and this may be a new go-to Friday spot. The matcha crème brûlée is also a must. The price was also right, around $120 without tip for 2 and a bottle of sake, which is pretty unheard of these days. Quality of fish and everything was phenomenal. Guests ordered omakase, which was reasonably priced. Tomo served them up with great customer service, great food, and great ingredients. They ordered two of the Nigiri Omakase, and the chef's choice of the evening included many select fish that guests hadn’t had at other places like striped jack fish. The fish was some of the freshest guests have had in the area, and the flavors were immaculate, very unique and perfect combinations. Guests sat at the bar to watch the action behind the scenes. They also had some hot tea and their matcha crème brûlée. It was a 10 out of 10 experience and now a favorite Omakase experience in Miami.
