The combination flavors were unique and great. The basic natural flavors were just that, basic! The prices were very over the top for how small the portions/scoops were. I paid about $17 for these small 2 scoop cups. You can get more for less at a Menchies or other ice cream place. You can get better, high quality, authentic flavored, mixed and basic flavors at an even better price at La Michoacana!

Great ice cream but the few times I’ve been to the pinecrest location it smells like sewage. Not sure if there’s a plumbing issue but there’s a distinct odor as soon as you walk in that makes it less appealing. I came around Oct 2025 and again in 2026 and both times it smelled terrible. I feel bad for the workers who have to experience this regularly.

I rarely write reviews. However, after what we just experienced with the young man employee that was working this evening my family, and I will never be coming again. He was super rude, entitled and unprofessional. Myself, daughter and husband walked in to grab some ice cream after dinner at that time there was two families one sitting by the corner of the door inside, and another by the bathroom area. We were the only ones there being served at the time, and right after he gave us our ice cream and elderly couple walked in after us. We were suppose to be charged first. However, he preceded to assist in charging and packing the elderly couples ice cream pints, while my husband stood at the register waiting on him to charge us. Then we sat down to eat our ice cream in the back seating area. We were not even half way done with the ice cream it was 9:01, and he just popped up to the side of us with no excuse me or anything. He literally flat out said “you guys need to leave we are closed, we close at 9.” My husband was so infuriated at his delivery as it was unprofessional, rude and discourteous. My husband even told him “will be coming here again” sarcastically because at that point any customer would be so upset at this type of treatment and behavior. We exited and he preceded to speak to the young lady he was working with and under his breath telling her whatever just happened as if it was a joke, while he laughed, and mocked us through the glass. At that point I opened the door and told him the way he acted was rude and unprofessional and uncalled for that we would be making a complaint. I don’t believe anyone with that attitude and entitlement to mock and be rude to customers should be employed by your establishment. I dislike to ever have to do anything like this however, someone has to be accountable on the staff and how employees should carry themselves. No one is perfect however that type of behavior is inappropriate and detrimental to your business establishment. Trust me the least thing I want to be doing with my time is writing this, but you guys at Azúcar need to be made aware of this. I really would not like anyone to have this experience as that is why I am writing this review.

Great spot to enjoy an ice cream in South Miami! I always go for the passion fruit with strawberry or Nutella — they have plenty of flavors to choose from, but passion fruit is definitely my favorite!

Drove to Florida from Chicago and I HAD to stop here after seeing David Muir's reporting. OMG! SO WORTH IT!!! Our server was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Can't wait to come back!!

Amazing ice cream, even better staff! Andrew is super patient and friendly. I have 3 ice cream eaters and two are especially indecisive. Andrew made sure they would be happy with their choices and they were. Jordan is very kind too! Thanks for hiring wonderful people. The chalk wall is also a highlight and keeps us coming back again and again.
