We ordered a Cuban sandwich, a Jamaican patty, a bacon croquetta, and one of every cookie available.
The croquetta was a delicious amuse bouche and was served with pork rinds that tasted like no other. Sooo flavorful. Idk if it's the secret spice mix or the fact that they're cooked in beef tallow (as everything is). Get yourself a bag on the low low!
My husband said the Cuban sandwich was the BEST he's had in Miami. The bread was fresh and perfectly toasted and the meats were ridiculously sumptuous. They also use spicy mustard, which is a pleasant surprise.
As for me, I had the BEST Jamaican patty of my life. Flaky authentic crust, deeply flavorful filling, the right hint of turmeric and spice, and thickkkness that would make any Latino blush. I'm still thinking of her as we speak.
LEAVE ROOM FOR COOKIES! Who would have thought that a butcher shop and counter would have a professional pastry chef making the cookies of your dreams? Are you the oatmeal butterscotch coconut type or more of a salted chunky chocolate chipper? Get them both and anything else she has concocted! Her hands make magic!
