Bakan is such a great spot! I went there for a second date and honestly loved the whole vibe. The décor, the energy, the ambiance—everything felt lively and fun. Yes, it can get a little loud, but it’s the kind of noise that reminds you the place is alive and people are having a good time. Superb modern cuisine that integrates a lot of Mexican and South American ingredients. Good options for people with gluten sensitivity. Home-made corn tortillas, fantastic ceviche, seafood, steak, guacamole and chips, and things like tacos and enchiladas. For the adventurous eater they've got a few insect and huitlacoche dishes. For the more conservative they also have great steaks. The whole menu has a curated selection of mezcal (and maybe tequila) pairing recommendations....

One of the most delicious and pleasant dinners I've had in a long time. We sat on the patio in a cozy loveseat. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. The food, though, I'm not sure i could say enough about it! It was so delicious. I'll be dreaming about the green salsa for a long time, and my mixed drink was perfect!
