Lunch at Bellini’s at Mr. C’s: An Italian Escape in Coconut Grove. Friday afternoon lunch for girlfriends to catch up. From the moment we arrived at Bellini’s, with a warm welcome from Beni and his staff, the restaurant’s elegant ambiance and breathtaking views of Biscayne Bay set the stage for an enjoyable afternoon. Service was impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. We were quickly seated and offered a selection of fine Italian wines. Choosing a crisp Gavi de Gavi to compliment, the Tagliolini with white Alba truffles was truly the highlight of our meal. This dish was a true celebration of Italian culinary artistry: the pasta was perfectly al dente, and the generous shavings of white truffle added an earthy, aromatic richness that elevated every bite. The chef’s restraint allowed the delicate flavors to shine, making each mouthful both decadent and refined. Thank you Bellini, we will be back.

How beautiful! I’ve lived in the Grove area since I was young, and never knew of this place. We had the Miami spice menu, and the food was delicious and served in sizeable portion. The service was truly out of this world, and the view from the top of the hotel was gorgeous.

Huge disappointment.

Beauty on the Outside,
Real disaster in the service and the food.

Walking into this restaurant feels like stepping into a high end restaurant, well we were surprised with the poor quality of service and food. Incredible!.

The waiters smiled warmly but had no idea about service.

And then came the food — or rather, the crushing letdown that was passed off as fine dining. Bland flavors, uninspired presentation, and a price tag that belongs in a Michelin-starred kitchen but with none of the skill or passion to match.
It felt like we were paying for the lighting fixtures, not the meal.

The disappointment was so huge, I actually felt compelled to write this review — not out of pettiness, but out of a genuine need for some small sense of justice. People deserve to know what they’re walking into before they hand over their hard-earned money. This is not a place for those seeking great food or true service; it is a beautifully wrapped box with nothing of value inside.
I only hope this warning spares someone else the same frustration.

I recently enjoyed a solo breakfast at Bellini Coconut Grove on the 5th floor of the elegant Mr. C Hotel. The marina views are breathtaking, creating a serene and elevated start to the day.

I began with a beautifully arranged fresh fruit plate (Macedonia di Frutta) with granola on the side, light, refreshing, and just right. Next came the Eggs Benedict with prosciutto and hollandaise sauce,
perfectly plated, rich, and balanced. The Vegetable (Venetian) Frittata was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. To top it off, I savored the Toasted Panettone with butter and orange marmalade, a simple yet unforgettable treat.

Service was outstanding. Hassan, my server, was friendly, professional, and attentive,
striking the perfect balance between being helpful and respectful of my space, which made my solo dining experience even more pleasant.

Bellini serves breakfast daily until 10:30 AM, so it’s best to arrive early. On Sundays, they offer a delightful brunch from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM featuring a variety of Italian‑inspired dishes. If timing is tight, the Il Giardino lobby café offers coffee and pastries daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Valet parking is available and makes your visit seamless from the moment you arrive.

On a crisp morning, I recommend requesting a shaded terrace seat, some tables are covered by large umbrellas, providing spectacular views of sailboats on the marina and Biscayne Bay.

Bellini is a hidden gem in Coconut Grove, refined, welcoming, and ideal for a solo breakfast or relaxed weekend brunch. Highly recommended! I only snapped a photo of the fruit plate :) I got too distracted enjoying everything else to take more !

Super nice restaurant in the Cipriani family. Waiter was a real pro for our party of 9, didn’t miss a beat. Outstanding food. Check came to almost 1000 (without alcohol!). View of water was great for 90 degrees to right but the left is high rise apartments 🙁 Good vegan options. Restrooms a bit dirty. Beautiful people- reservations vital.

Service was incredible!!!!
Servers are all authentically Italian at this Italian restaurant. Amazing.

The Tagliardi al Tartufo Nero (truffle pasta) was literally one of the BEST pastas I’ve ever had

Fantastic rooftop spot in Coconut Grove. Portions are well sized, food is fresh and the service is very good.

I definitely expected more from this place. The carpaccio was ordinary in olive oil. The lobster roll was also ordinary. The tuna salad was normal. The clams had a bitter sauce, not tasty. The bellini was like without alcohol. And the bill was over $300.

One of the best views in all of Miami. Excellent authentic Roman Italian food.

I had high hopes for Bellini after hearing rave reviews from several of my clients who called it the best food ever. Unfortunately, my experience on Easter was a major letdown.

To be completely honest, the highlight of the meal was the complimentary baguette and butter balls..fresh, simple, and honestly better than anything that followed.

The burger was especially disappointing!! It can only be ordered well-done, and they top it with a slice of COLD, unmelted cheese that felt and tasted straight out of a plastic wrapper. The bun was stale and dry! A Cheesecake Factory does it better…

I ordered a pasta dish as well, and the sauce tasted exactly like Campbell’s soup. There was no garnish, no attention to plating, and overall, it felt incredibly uninspired for the price point.

Given the hype, I was expecting something more in line with spots like raos or Carbone in Miami Beach where flavor, presentation, and atmosphere all deliver. Bellini didn’t come close!!! Service was not detailed oriented either.

The only redeeming factor was the view, which truly is beautiful. But for a holiday like Easter, serving food that feels rushed and low-effort is just unacceptable.

I really wanted to love this place, but the food just wasn’t up to par. Don’t waste your money!!!!!!
