We drove down from Delray Beach to have dinner here last night and I have to say unlike most places in Miami, this restaurant was worth the drive and lives up to the hype. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. The crispy polenta, the chopped salad (probably the best salad I’ve ever had), the Brussel sprouts, the agnolotti, and the gnocchi were all phenomenal. I don’t eat meat but my fiancé had the lamb and couldn’t stop raving about it. We also got the budino and tiramisu for dessert because l couldn’t decide between the two and both were so good. Best meal I’ve had in a while! Can’t wait to come back!

Me and my friends had stomach issues all night following our evening meal… tried calling them several times to warn them but no one answers or returns voicemails. Over priced for stomach bugs.

I really wanted to enjoy Boia De. The food itself was good/ok, but everything around it took away from the experience. The location is honestly sketchy — tucked next to a cleaner with a pretty strong smell outside as you walk in. Not the kind of setting you expect for a restaurant at this price point.

What bothered me the most was the “healthcare service charge” added on top of the expected tip. When I asked the waitress about it, she gave major attitude, came back pointing to a tiny line at the bottom of the menu as if that justified it. I was going to tip anyway, but adding an extra charge like that without explaining it upfront feels unnecessary and not very transparent.

Between the strange location, the unexpected fees, and the attitude from the staff, I won’t be going back — and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

The service and atmosphere was excellent. Love the ambiance and perfectly lit dining experience befitting a romantic evening. The food was top notch and truly worth every bite. Taking one on a delicious journey of Italian flavors. I believe the manager there noticed I stained my shirt eating the papparadelle 😅 and was kind enough to get me a tide pen cleaner without I even asking. Truly an attention to detail and love for the customer that was chef’s kiss. Amazing place and people here. Highly recommend for anyone to dine in and enjoy amazing food and service

Disappointment! Based on the reviews they failed to meet expectations. The greeting was far from warm nor inviting by the hostess, we arrived at 5:27 for a 5:45 reservation and the greeting was a stark face and rapid announcement that they open at 5:30pm. They reluctantly accommodated my family’s other reservation for 2 and put together 2 tables so that all 4 could sit together. Thank you! The hostess was quick to inform and repeat that they had to have the tables available for 7:30pm reservations. The wine list was limited, only a couple of bottles under $100 and the server is quick to guide you to the over $100 bottle options. The wines by the glass were limited and the only full bodied option they were out. We had the last glass left in the last bottle. Server did not offer another full bodied choice by the glass. The vibe is serious and non engaging, I would say bordering on pretentiousness.. we did not feel welcomed. Moving on to the food: lukewarm, menu attempts to impress with gourmet names for ingredients, but when the food arrives there is zero “wow” factor. Mediocre at best. Buttermilk crudo was good, chopped salad was refreshing with an overpowering vinaigrette, pasta was ok, overpriced for what it actually was. Certainly, NOT a Michelin star establishment in any way, not the service, vibe, wine list, nor the food. Will not repeat!! Too many better options in Miami. All hype and did not deliver!!

Boia De – Miami
I won’t knock them for the exterior or setting—it’s clear that wasn’t the priority. But the food fell well short, even by Bib Gourmand standards. I won’t get into the service; I came because Michelin said it was worth the trip.

Baked Clams were overwhelmed with breadcrumbs and acid—completely unbalanced.
Tortellini with Sungold Tomato arrived lukewarm, with dough that was noticeably thick and chewy.
Sweetbreads were undercooked, and as for beets and chicories in August… come on.

Disappointing from start to finish. I left wondering how this earned a star.

Boia De is a hidden gem in a strip mall, offering modern Italian cuisine with a cozy, intimate atmosphere. I had the pappardelle with braised beef ragu—tender pasta, rich sauce, and perfectly seasoned. The wine list featured Italian selections that complemented the meal well. Service was attentive, and the ambiance was relaxed yet refined, making it a great spot for a special night out

Foodie alert 🚨 – this spot is a gem!

Food: 10/10 across the board. Every dish was a hit, but here are the absolute standouts: Lucy’s Chopped Salad, Tagliolini Nero, Gnocchi — and whatever you do, don’t leave without trying the Tiramisu. Portion sizes were just right, seasoning was on point, and the balance of flavors felt effortless yet elevated.

Drinks: I stuck to the non-alcoholic options and was not disappointed. The strawberry basil drink? Total perfection. Refreshing, vibrant, and beautifully crafted.

Service: Impeccable. Friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. What really stood out was the team dynamic — seamless coordination, everyone helping each other regardless of roles. You could tell they genuinely care.

Atmosphere: Warm, inviting, and ideal for a good conversation. The music was curated just right — present enough to set the mood, but never overpowering.

Honestly, this place blew me away. They didn’t try to overcomplicate things — just nailed the essentials with care and precision. Simple, intentional, and beautifully executed. Huge kudos to the team. 🙌🏼

Writing this review a year after my visit, mostly because my Girlfriend and I still talk about it to this day. Rarely in this city of surface level do you get substance. It's not common to leave a joint in Miami feeling like you got your money's worth. Boia De firmly is one of the few exceptions to that rule. I don't remember exactly what we ordered, outside of the gnochi and rabbit. But we do remember how impeccable everything tasted, and the steely dan/talking heads playlist that hovered around the room.

We got a late reservation, like one of the last tables in the restaurant late. The packed and dimly lit interior shined in that moment, given a boost by the incredible service. Conversations about pairing, his awesome glasses, and just random topics about Miami and how it's changed served as a dash of MSG to an already top notch meal.

The carrot cake, like many others have reviewed, was the absolute cherry on top. Paired it with a sherry, recommended by our server, and we became sherry people.

If you're lucky enough to snag a res, you'll leave full. More poetically, your soul, depleted and exhausted by the instagram and tik tok slop that is the Miami food scene will leave full with a love and passion for food again. In a city full of copy cats this is is a place that can make you change.

My first time ever eating rabbit, so tender the noodles are handmade. I’ve never had such a great Gastro experience. The staff perfection the tiramisu and the peach gelato. I don’t even have the words to explain how great they were the lamb ribs. If you do nothing else you gotta try the lamb ribs. I would eat here every day if I could thank y’all so much for the experience!
