3.75 star review....Been to the Rome location and looked forward to this visit. Good pizza but not as good as the Rome location. Don't do the marinated onion pizza as it's not close to the juniper onion you get in Rome. Chicken Parm was good with a kick of spice. Zucchini ricotta was a favorite.
An Italian icon in Miami? Roman pizza right in the middle of Wynwood. Great potential, good basics, but still needs some improvements.Bonci is an i comic Italian pizza shop serving square pan-pizza slices to-go. It’s particularly famous for its sourdough base and creative toppings.Different to the original the Wynwood location just doesn’t shine with the same level of freshness in the products on display, the staff lacks motivation and overall the diner needs some better clean up of tables etc.One can only hope that more traffic will lead to fresher products, but the current state may lead to the opposite, which would be a real pity! Also I was missing some original favorites from the Italian store, such as potato and mozzarella.
Came in and saw they were pulling out a fresh potato mozzarella. They told me it was the most popular in Italy so I had to try. The crust was so crispy and fluffy with a slight nutty whole grain flavor. The potatos had some salted notes to it that made the whole pizza pop. I will definitely come back to try more.
Great concept. Good pizza dough, although toppings very scarce. Dough was made in the morning Skimpy and poor quality salads. Beer Is very expensive. Service inattentive and very average.Don’t expect what they offer in Rome.Maybe a good takeout option?
Do not expect the Rome experience, far from it. This is just a reheated good dough with small toppings. By the time the whole thing is reheated the taste is very poor. Small wilted salads in plastics containers and abusive alcohol prices. Fresher and more honest to go the Digiorno way.
So much potential but such a disappointment. They have all the equipment and the access to expertise. There is no excuse to be so mediocre. The variety of pizza al taglio was great and I think the concept is welcome but it missed the mark. Bonci in Roma is considered by some the best pizza in Rome. I obviously wasn't coming in expecting the same but considering this isn't a franchise, I was expecting a bit more. The pizza itself was okay. Aside from the food, didn't necessarily appreciate the service and the joking around by the staff about MLK day.
they accept apple pay+++if you like roman style pizza, you should definitely check this place out. they have some pretty crazy toppings, but they actually work. for example, the blueberry and sausage was really good, as was the potato mozzarella! the crust has this great crunch to it and everything tastes fresh!the staff was really friendly and the place has two levels of seating. if you’re in wynwood, give them a shot.
Unique flavors and great concept. It was my first time here and employee was extremely helpful in picking out good amount to order for 2 people. We got portions of the spicy sausage calabrese, spicy eggplant (vegetarian) and the potato mozzarella (beat expectations) and paid under $15.Will definitely go back!
Do not skip this place. Some of the best pizza I have ever had. Sold by the pound you can get as big or small of a slice as you'd like. We tried a few different kinds and they were all amazing. I can't wait until I come back to Miami to have some more!
Again... Had a great experience!!. .Hector.. is Awesome!!..

Bonc pizzai....ahhh. we missed the place while in Tome, the line was too long. I got so excited that it opened a location in Miami. While visiting few weeks back, we decided to drive by and pick up few slices. No parking upfront, but valet guy let us park for 10 mins. We ran in and started ordering for to go.Beautiful store, so many varieties, delicious dough, and topping. We enjoyed every bite. Glad we finally tried it.
This is very different than any pizza place you ever been to. They do something called Roman style pizza. You pick what you want. Literally tell them what you want and how much to cut. You can get a lot of different types of pizzas. I saw one worth blueberries and a different one with potatoes. Everything gets weighed before hitting the oven for a heat up.This I great but it takes awhile. Maybe 15 or more mins. Can be hard if you're in a rush. There are also beer and wine selections and even Gelato.Overall not bad but not too crazy to talk about. It's a little pricey too especially for the amount of pizza you get. Basically two large slices was over $15. Also one thing that was a little weird is that they chopped up the pizza without asking. It make it a little easier to eat and savor but a little odd.
3.8⭐️ Great potential. Heard great things from the Rome location. The dough is right there; good stuff! There is a nice variety of different pizzas. Good quality ingredients. A great addition to Miami with Rome-style pizza. I love the fact that there is a complimentary sparkling water fountain in the back. However, there is tons to improve, so I look forward to coming back!
Wow this place is not only all natural and minimal processed food. Love this place and Lydia was phenomenal in helping us understand the ingredients and description of the pizza. Great personality and made this place an experience. If you thought you had “artistic pizza”, then come here and check it out! Creative options!
Pizza were great, but the amazing part was staff, a lady help us on our first time there, explain about the slice, and how the price base on the weight. She also helps us on refill drinking water after that, without us asking much.
