“I took my mom here for ice cream on a random afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised by its prices and just old school charm. We had soft serve in cones nothing fancy but just as effective (and very affordable) on a hot Miami day. We sat outside (they only have outdoor seating) on one of their little picnic tables and enjoyed people watching. All in all, I'm so happy a little place still like this still exists in Miami.“

“Coming from New York, my last day in Miami gotta get great coffee and cuban breakfast sandwich. This place is near factory workers and worth the drive.
We dropped off our son at Barry university. Before heading out to the airport i found this place. Coffee is out of this world, the sandwich was perfect and delicious 😋.“

“I’d seen the sign at a nearby strip mall and tried it yesterday for the first time. The pizzas are Cuban style dinner- plate size with a savory crust that is not too thin or too thick and many toppings to choose from. The service is perfect and the owner came out and spoke to us and we pleasantly discovered that his restaurants are named for a once important and productive sugar plantation (Central Zaza) of his native region of Cuba. I’ll be returning and shall recommend this place to others.“

“Great food and craft beer selection!“
“I just got back from vacation and needed some real food. I knew there was a new cafe by the area and decided to try it.Food: I had the lechon asado with rice , red beans And plantains. It was phenomenal , delicious and fresh. I can't wait to try more from their menu.Atmosphere: it is small but very welcoming , clean , nice and comfortable. To make it better they had playing jazz music. For me sometimes going to eat somewhere to eat and I hear the radio or whatever they're and it becomes repetitive. The jazz music was soothing, relaxing and different. Keep it up!!Service was nice and great !I'll be back and keep up the great work !“

“Very happy to have visited. It's inside the Intercontinental Hotel. The hotel has a Starbucks and a couple restaurants so they have to deal with competitors.
I only got a latte and plain croissant. Very fair price, good flavor, friendly service. There are several nooks with seats and tables. Hotel restrooms nearby and awesome free WiFi“
“This is my second chance at the restaurant, with a very cozy atmosphere, exquisite food and, above all, special attention from one of their girls, Mailen, who makes me want to repeat again, so I advise you to do so. They want to have a pleasant time. Don't forget to visit this place.“

“The food is delicious! However, the last order of mashed potatoes I ordered a few days ago was not good. It had a weird smell to it, as if they were not fresh. Riconsito, please make sure the potatoes are always fresh!🙏Other than that, the food has always been great!“

“Taqueria Guadalupana has some very good mexican food. As close as almost being in Mexico. They make their fresh homemade tortillas daily! The tacos are great, burritos, quesadillas are also off the chain. I love their house salsa. Staff is always so respectful and friendly. Customer service is on point.“
“Excelente lugar, para comer, compartir. Además el personal es muy profesional, en sus labores.“
“This cafe is located inside a commercial building project and is a hidden gem. The food is so good it feels like you're eating at your "abuelitas" house. A must try is the wraps, bowls, soups and their authentic Cuban food.“

“I crave and always return to this tiny food spot whenever in miami.Delicious, inexpensive , excellent value and superb tasteI have tried all the sandwiches on the menu plus i always get perfect fresh OJ and cuban chicken soupdon’t go to Mc Donald's or la CarretaI“
“I have had a very good experience with 8th street so far. The food is quite enjoyable, though its highlights are split between the vast salad bar and the unique, varied, and delectable pastries. If you aren't willing to eat some veggies, you're going to be a bit more disappointed. They do have burgers, fries, hotdogs, and whatnot but those greasy fast-food options are rather limited. Most complex Pizza toppings you're getting are some chicken. Though you can work with what is around you. The service there is very lovely.
For staying fit, or occasionally splurging it is a very attractive option. Even if you don't like what the specials for the salad bar, you can always make yourself a nice sandwich with what is available.
The atmosphere isn't the point of the kitchen though. It's meant to feed a good portion of a college, not be a fine dining restaurant. Not any nice and isolated seats for you? You're just going to have to ask a stranger if you can eat next to them.
That said, the place is fairly clean, I have not seen a single bug in my several days of repeated visits, and the only spots that might be slightly dirty are the tables, where there may be a stray lettuce on the rare occasion. No stains or splotches of disgusting sauce anywhere.
The music might be a tad loud for me. I like to keep my ears healthy. I'd maybe turn it down 3-5%. It can make it a little difficult to converse. Though the music is only on in the evening from what I've seen.
My main complaint though is there is nowhere to wash your hands. I get not having bathrooms in 8th street and instead having it right outside the restaurant, but I would like to have somewhere to wash my hands. There's also a sign that says to wash the fruits, even though staff wash them, but I can't find where to wash them.
All said and done, I am more than satisfied with the utilitarian purpose 8th street sets out with to equip FIU students with convenient healthy food.“
“Great food and excellent customer service! This little hole in the wall is a gem offering daily lunch specials five days a week. The food variety is great, always fresh and cooked to order. They also serve breakfast and will make coffee/cafecito at anytime throughout the day.“

“Old Days has been a consistently good spot, but I’ve noticed a slight decline in food quality over my last few visits. The first two times I went, everything was excellent easily a five-star experience. However, the last two visits felt a bit different, and I suspect they may have a new chef. The drinks are still phenomenal, which is a major plus, but the food has changed slightly.
For example, the beef short rib was still very good, but I preferred the previous version with the rich gravy rather than the jus it now comes with. The latte was solid, no complaints there. Overall, I’d rate it a strong four across the board. I’ll definitely be back, but I do hope they bring back some of the flavors that originally made this place stand out.“
