We loved it! I didn't think it possible. But, yes all the food came straight out of a can or the toaster.Genius! Fingers crossed for an invite.Seriously, for comic factor alone, 5 stars is not enough.God speed on continued success.

All I have to say is WOW! I am so happy I obtained a reservation here after a 6 month wait list. It was worth every moment. The hand breaded chicken was so crispy you could hear the crunch on 40th street and bird road. The chef also hand made the coleslaw and just another win. Even the sous chef (who looks a model) made us top notch cocktails. 20/10 get on the list!

First time invited and this was amazing. Crispy, juicy, and just enough kick. Grabbed seconds just to make sure it wasn’t a dream. If you can get an invite, definitely recommend coming for the vibes and great food!

Restaurant Name: Capt. Raleman's AKA The Overconfident ChefLocation: Somewhere in BrickellDate: July 19, 2023Review:I went to The Overconfident Chef with high hopes, but I was sorely disappointed. The chef clearly wasn't properly trained, as the food was bland and uninspired. The portions were also tiny, and I was left feeling hungry after my meal. The wine list was even worse. The only wine that was available was a $50 bottle of Franzia, and the waiter tried to convince me that it was a "great value." The waiter actually told me that the Franzia was "award-winning." I'm not sure what award it won, but I'm guessing it wasn't the Nobel Prize for Winemaking. The only thing that saved this restaurant from being a complete disaster was the ambiance. The dining room was dark and intimate, and the service was attentive. If you're looking for a good meal, I would steer clear of The Overconfident Chef. But if you're looking for a place to have a romantic dinner in a dark, cave-like atmosphere, sipping on boxed wine, then this is the place for you.

This place had been closed long time ago. There is a big condo building at its address. The guards were laughing at us for searching it. Why is Google showing it and what are all these fine reviews? FAKE, ALL FAKE!

This place doesn’t exist. Walked all the way to the location to be told there is no restaurant in the building and many people accidentally show up looking for the restaurant and get turned away. Tried to call the number provided by Google and it’s not a working number. Glad I got some exercise though!

I live in the building and would love to try it out. How can we get in touch?

The food was phenomenal: cuban lasagna was cooked to perfection, with well marinated chicken and perfect balance of rice and cheese. Desert was a cherry on top of this delicious dinner. I would definitely come back for more!

Absolutely Fantastic! A close group of friends and I had dinner here the other night. The owner personally greeted us as we walked in and the meal was absolutely wonderful. We had the Cuban inspired lasagna, which might be the best meal I've had in months. Thank you for the wonderful evening! We're looking forward to our next visit.

If you ever get so lucky as to experience a meal here - consider yourself very fortunate. Only the very lucky can say they’ve enjoyed! Once in a lifetime experience and would do it again! Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible

It’s Brickell’s hidden gem …. a speakeasy for food! Go through the back entrance and take the elevator to the (secret) floor. Guess the right door and hopefully you’ll get in!

Wow. What an experience from start to finish. Hospitality form the moment you walk in the door. Food was outstanding and service was out of this world. The flavors in the lasagna was top notch and to die for. 5/5 stars.. highly recommended!

This was my first time here, and I hope it isn’t the last. Not only was that food absolutely incredible—the layers of flavor were exquisite—but the atmosphere was so much fun and welcoming. I highly recommend this if you are able to get an invitation.
