I placed my order over the phone, and everything was ready right on time when I arrived. The customer service was excellent—friendly and welcoming. The cashier took the time to tell me about other menu items and dishes, which definitely made me want to come back and try more.
That day, I ordered the ackee and saltfish with an extra side of fried dumplings and festival. The food was delicious, and the portion was generous—enough for two people to share. I’ll definitely be returning to try more items from the menu.

Island Grill 184 AKA CARIBBEAN Deli-Mart is a must visit for the most tasty authentic Jamaican / Caribbean foods in South Miami. I’ve tried most of the dishes so far but my favorites are the Stew Peas and Rice, Curry Shrimps, Ackee and Salt Fish and Cow Foot. Their Bread Pudding is totally amazing. They also sell a wide variety of shelf grocery items. Check them out. You’ll be glad you did.

My husband has been coming to this place for a while now (since they reopened as Island Grill 184) but I hadn't tried it so we decided to stop by.The lady at the counter (who also prepared our meals) was so kind and considerate in ensuring our food was to our liking.I ordered the stew pork which she happily doused in gravy for me ? it was very authentically seasoned so I got those traditional Jamaican food vibes with the very 1st bite! I appreciated that the portion size was very generous and I was able to save half my food for later. My husband got the Oxtail. He described it as flavorful, fall-off-the-bone tender, and saturated in sauce that infused each piece of meat. He also mentioned that he loves that its not very oily, so that doesn't take away from the flavor profile. We were each offered a side if rice or "food". After asking for clarification I learned that this is a boiled medley dumplings, potato, banana, yams and carrots. We both ordered it and we so happy we did. All the components are perfectly softened (great for soaking up sauce) but not mushy. To drink I decided on a coconut water that did not disappoint. Not overly sweet or bitter at all, just refreshingly smooth with a light, yet crisp coconut flavor. The aesthetic isn't terribly appealing, as it looks like a small Carbbean grocery store, but that doesn't compromise the food quality a bit.

Their chicken soup is delicious! Served on Tuesdays. Their other dishes are freshly made every day and just like the good old time cooking.
Great food and service.
Excellent place to buy something when in a hurry. The service is fast, rates are reasonable, awesome mood. Will come visit again
