I want to give a shout out to the wonderful experience I had with Chef’s Delights. I needed to organize a moderately sized 90th birthday party for my mom. I had family come from different states and rented a venue big enough for our group. Since hiring an event planner was not in my budget, I chose the DIY route which is quite stressful. I had known about Chef’s Delights through events sponsored at my workplace and always found the food very tasty. I was fortunate that Chef’s Delights was able to flawlessly not only provide the catering at the event, but also provide me a bartender, servers, table linens, and table wear. Yami was my contact person. She was patient and fantastic in making sure my vision and needs were met. To my surprise, they even brought decorations for their serving tables to match our theme. All the food choices we had were delicious, but the star was the coconut crusted chicken with guava BBQ sauce. The guests could not get enough. I thank them for helping make my mom’s 90th memorable and keeping me sane under stress. I highly recommend Chef’s Delights and will definitely will use them again in the future for any of my catering needs.

I ordered Arroz con Pollo and Roasted Pork from them and the chicken and the pork were super dry. The rice was watery and went bad immediately. The garlic bread was stale. I’d like my money back but point is they suck.

Good service the day of delivery and the food was tasty (according to the consumer), but do be careful when changing your order. They will not tell you or send you a new updated invoice, they will assume you know there’s a price difference, and charge you that amount the day of delivery. I made the purchase with a company card and need to get prior approval when making these types of purchases, so a little communication would’ve gone a long way.
1 star for the lack of communication and transparency. Please advise your customers if they’ll be paying more than what was discussed/agreed.
Update: spoke to the owner Maria. They apologized and explained that since it’s thanksgiving & the holidays they’ve been incredibly busy, but since I didn’t ask if there would be a price change or ask for an updated invoice when I made the change, it’s my fault. It was a bunch of back and forth and there was no middle ground or solution found. As a small business I would expect them to care a little bit more.
