Listen, the restaurant used to be good once upon a time. The rice was old and chewy like they had sitting in the fridge and throw it on the stove for quick sale. The fried chicken was bland no salt and epis. You can clearly see it wasn't mad with no type love. The 2 fried plantain were the only thing that was good.

I just ordered my food from DoorDash and I didn’t even get the right thing. I ordered vegetable stew aka Legume! I have the receipt that came with the order and when I opened everything I had Grio!!! I ordered since 9:30 AM. It’s currently 12 and I just received my order and it’s not even the right thing!! I was skeptical about ordering here and I guess I was right a complete waste of money and I’m not eating this!

I have been eating here for years. Something has changed. It was nasty. That’s all I can say they gave me a lot of fat with no flavor on this rice. The rice stinks. Maybe they ought to try a different kind of rice the meat no flavor no seasoning don’t go back there

Food is bland now. I got stew turkey and sauce pwa. Turkey bland and sauce pwa has too much of something and tastes scorched. Turkey also mostly bones and skin. Pikliz bland also 🤦🏽♀️ Not enough vinegar, seasoning, or pepper. I’ve been coming here since the early 2000’s. I haven’t been here in a while. New owner in last few months. Renovation looks great but the food is suffering. The food does not taste authentic. Also stew turkey was $18. Extra banan fri 3 for $2. Crazy work. Also the food packaging is horrible. It soaks up all the gravy from the food. Look at the cutlery.

Stopped by here on my way back to Tampa. The griot was honestly the best thing I had. The legume was not what I expected, but it was good. Service was ok and our food came out promptly. The rice and peas was ok as well. The bathroom was not the best and had no soap to wash hands. Overall I would return for the griot. It was crispy, juicy and well seasoned. Serving size was also fantastic. One plate could feed you for a few days. With some minor changes, this place would be top tier.
They need to make some changes honestly. They only take cash and when you call, you can’t hear anything. You can’t even make your order over the phone because no one can hear each other..
