Stopped by here on my way back to Tampa. The griot was honestly the best thing I had. The legume was not what I expected, but it was good. Service was ok and our food came out promptly. The rice and peas was ok as well. The bathroom was not the best and had no soap to wash hands. Overall I would return for the griot. It was crispy, juicy and well seasoned. Serving size was also fantastic. One plate could feed you for a few days. With some minor changes, this place would be top tier.
They need to make some changes honestly. They only take cash and when you call, you can’t hear anything. You can’t even make your order over the phone because no one can hear each other..
The food is not worth the money there was a lot oil in the sauce turkey instead of giving meat they put a bunch of bones I’ll show

The place only does cash that needs some updating we had gotten the griot they only had one type of rice to choose from with is the red bean. The rice tasted Smokey more than anything else. The griot didn’t have that much flavor and had a different smell to it which I couldn’t point out what it was they used. I’ve had Haitian food I am Haitian I’ve cooked this type of food many times I’ve brought Haitian food from other places and I’ve never had a pikliz this bad. Tasted vinegarieee no spice all cabbage and two small strains of carrots. But I do have to admit the oxtail was good. That was the only thing I liked. Ik everyone has a way of cooking Haitian food and no matter what way it usually tastes good but this way was not the way. I only gave it a two for food because of the oxtail.
