I had the pleasure of dining at Ocean & Flame Grill Bar, and it was an experience worth sharing. Whether you’re there for a casual dinner or a special night out, the setting strikes a great balance between relaxed and upscale.
The food was outstanding. The menu offered a great variety of both seafood and meat options, and everything we tried was fresh and well-seasoned.
Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations, which made the whole experience feel personal and welcoming.
Ocean & Flame Grill Bar is a hidden gem for anyone who appreciates great food, a chill atmosphere, and top-tier service. I’ll definitely be returning soon.
From the moment I walked into Ocean and Flame in Pinecrest, I knew I was in for something special. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between upscale and inviting: warm lighting, stylish decor, and a subtle energy that makes you want to linger. I started off with their salmon roll sushi, and it was an incredible first impression. The fish was fresh, the rice was perfectly seasoned, and the presentation was clean and elegant. It was the kind of bite that makes you pause and appreciate how good simple things can be when done right. We also ordered tostones rellenos which were nice and crispy and generously topped and beautifully presented with their special fish paste.
For our main meals we had the Carne Flameada, and wow, what a dish! It arrived sizzling, tender, and full of rich, smoky flavor. This was served with perfectly cooked white rice and a side of nice and crunchy French fries. It was a great dish, for those with a serious appetite who do not want to sacrifice taste and freshness in any way.
But the true highlight of my night had to be the grilled octopus. I’ve had octopus at a lot of restaurants, and this one stood out. It was cooked to absolute perfection with just the right char on the outside and a melt-in-your-mouth texture. It was flavorful, balanced, and plated beautifully. It is served with potatoes and peppers. The size of the octopus ensures it is an entire meal.
And let’s not forget the cocktails. They were creative, refreshing, and strong without overpowering the flavors of the food. Every drink we tried was crafted with attention to detail, and the bartender clearly knows what they're doing.
The service was excellent throughout the night. Friendly, attentive staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of without being overbearing. Every question was met with knowledge and a smile, and you could tell the team takes pride in what they do.
Overall, Ocean and Flame delivered on every level: food, drinks, service, and ambiance. It’s the kind of place you can go for a special occasion or just a memorable night out. I’ll definitely be back.

I went to pick up a meal which was bad and the spicy was rotten. How outrageous that they are not aware of the state of the food. I'm not coming back again!

Warning Alexa,,I have to say this is one of the worst places that I’ve ever been before in my life. I’m from Peru. I grew up here in United States and I felt like I was in a Cuban restaurant. Most of servers are from Cuba. They treat you bad as a Peruvian, I felt insulted They felt offended when I asked for certain dishes the owner’s Cuban not very nice. I was very shocked call to all my brothers and sisters. You know what to do. Do not go there. It’s like going to a Cuban restaurant go to the one in Homested run by real Peruvians Bad place.

I had the regular fish Ceviche. It tasted great but they put too much cilantro on top. Then I asked for Tostones to compliment the ceviche. Again too much cilantro on Tostones while unnecessary. My mother ordered the Crab Salad over Tostones. Thank God she loves cilantro. I know its a Peruvian thing. But they should cut it down.
I told my server I didn't want potato in my Ceviche. He said it wasn't Poato, it was Sweet Potato.... really???? Its still a potato. I just didn't remember the word Peruvian use for the potato they put in the ceviche...

I love Dr. Limon. I have been to the one in Homestead several times and it has always been great and the service has been very good... but it was close to the one in Pinecrest and I went there with my family, I had a very bad experience!!! The service was bad, the Chaufa rice with meat was bad and the strangest thing is that when I left a lady who said she was the manager stopped me and asked me in a bad way why I put my hand down on the payment machine? I told her why the food and the service were bad. It was very bad and she in a bad attitude told me Ok 👍 I really am not here to spend my money to eat and have a good time and receive this unpleasant treatment!!!!
