I grew up around this neighborhood and until a couple of weeks ago, had never even stepped foot inside because I’m not huge on seafood and I assumed that’s all they have. I’ve been missing out my entire life on some of the best local seafood in Miami. The oysters are always fresh and less than $14/dozen. Can’t beat that! The seafood stew is a little pricey at around $27, but it is well worth the price. The amount of seafood in it is astonishing. We had enough leftover to take home. The scallops al ajillo are so delicious. The milanesa de pollo is my favorite Cuban dish and never would I have expected a seafood restaurant to nail this dish. The service is always friendly. My fiancé doesn’t speak Spanish and he always feels welcome here. Teresa and Sonia always take such good care of me and my family. They’re very attentive and personable. If you’re looking for fresh, affordable, local, unpretentious and delicious seafood and traditional Cuban cuisine, Bahamas Fish is the place for you!

Excellent food and fresh. Price is very considerable, Nice and CLEAN. Looks like Mr. Clean owns this restaurant. I eat it my dolphin fillet, black beans and mash potatoes. Oh I almost forgot my Cuban coffee. Best in Miami

Definitely below average... place is a bit weathered as stated in other comments. The seafood rice (arroz con mariscos) was visually good looking; but tasteless. Beware of “market price$$$” they will take advantage on this one.

The food was good BUT, the restaurant needs a very large overhaul top to bottom. This place is DIRTY. To the point that next to the tables you have dead insects throughout. You will not see me again in this restaurant. I can only imagine what the kitchen is like.

I just went to this restaurant looking for some fish croquettes. I ordered to go. Imagine my surprise when I opened the bag to find 6 over-seasoned blobs of breadcrumbs with orange with sazón. Ten dollars for 6 “fish croquettes”. These croquettes are so horrible the orange color is not even the same on all them. I have had fish croquettes at other seafood restaurants and couldn’t believe how terrible these were. It’s embarrassing that this restaurant will sell these things as fish.

Need to place this on your 'To Go" list for sure! Quaint establishment (nothing fancy), but the food is plentuful & delicious. Their Marinera Seafood Soup bowl is huge (enough for two!), and includes white rice so you can plunge it in! Definitely a worthwhile locale! GetSome!!

This place has the best shrimps I've ever had. The service is remarkable, very polite. The food is absolutely delicious, you can tell it's made with love. Portions are generous, definitely worth your money. Tostones rellenos are amazing, the taste and presentation is great. I also had breaded shrimp and let me tell you: these are the best I've ever had. The tartar sauce is creamy and tasty. It's basically homemade food. Sopón de mariscos is enough to feed 4 people. Pasta is way better than in some fancy restaurants!
