This is the real deal. The atmosphere is sparse and basic and has been that way for 40 years. The best frita you’re going to get. Be prepared to wait but totally worth it. i went to the Kendall location

Incredibly authentic little Cuban cafe where my server didn’t speak English, which i loved! I felt like i was in another country and made myself right at home. I had the frita especial con queso and it was delicious. The bread, the meat, the crispy fried potatoes, everything was 👌 I went back later and got coconut flan to go and the coco was very sweet but delicious. I would get the regular flan next time.
I’m thinking about going back tomorrow.

Second time coming here and the food is just as good. The fritas with fried cheese and plantain is so good. The burger is flavored like no other I have had.

I ordered the B.S. Frita( was like a beef and chorizo patty, added bacon and Swiss on top), fries, and a beer. Cost $22. The service was a bit slow. The food was good. Very unique flavors. The entire menu looked good. The Julienne potatoes come out come and over fried. Don't order if that's not what you want.

Wanted to try some local Cuban food. I had the Fritas Doble and friend had the Cuban sandwich. The Cuban was dry and no mustard. The Fritas Doble was salty and too much onion. I was expecting something more flavorful but frankly a burger at Chili's is way better. I wish we would have went to the Ball and chain down the road. At least we would have been entertained!

It was very hot inside...AC was not working...ceiling fans were only making it hotter....the crew was obviously not in a good mood due to how hot it was inside even though they were very nice and professional but customers were literally using what ever they could to use as fans while eating but most couldn't take the heat and would just ask for the check and leave. Being in Little Havana where you have alot of Tourist trying different types of dishes you would think.that they would have this place updated and spotless...so these employees could make their money and the establishment could profit a bit more without over pricing or getting the wrong orders from the customers because they just want them to order and go.
Im speaking for myself as a local who has lived my entire life in Miami...I love the Fritas Cubanas and I've been here before....but it had been a while since I had the opportunity to go to this establishment with my great grand daughter....and I was so disappointed...she kept telling me to please leave because it was too hot...to the point everyone was sweating like if they were out side in the middle of the day....and then they gave me the wrong Fritas....when did they become fat patties...so out of 3 only 1 had the normal patty.
For you to call your self El Rey De las Fritas....you need to regroup and become that El Rey De las Fritas again.
I have to think about going back to this place sometime in the not so near future... very unsatisfied food wise and feel bad for the employees...as if the owners did not care for their well-being.

Lots of old-school charm! My son and I were adventuring around Miami for all the must-try spots in Miami. Server was very friendly and service was prompt. We split a Frita with Cheese and a Mamey Shake. Both were so delicious that we immediately looked into other places in the country that serve them. Highly recommend!
