Very nice snack options, I liked the desserts. The gay couple that owns and runs the place is very friendly.

The food is great, I wish the menu had pictures to know what everything means but everything I tried has been great, fresh and tasty.
I got stuck in the bathroom for about 3 hours due to a malfunctioning door but they were nice and gave me a free meal for the inconvenience. Totally recommend if you are overweight and need to eat healthier.

Elia Café @ Calder Library is one of the only places in the UHealth District that actually functions with competence. It’s efficient, predictable, and quietly supports real work. No ego, no slogans—just execution. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do, consistently.
UMiami Miller School of Medicine makes that contrast embarrassing. Miller survives on branding and proximity, not performance. Bureaucracy is thick, decision-making is slow, and accountability is scarce. Prestige is talked about endlessly while basic execution routinely falls apart. The culture rewards hierarchy and optics over rigor, speed, or results.
Elia Café delivers value without pretending. Miller pretends without delivering. When a small campus café outperforms a major medical school in clarity, reliability, and respect for people’s time, it exposes how hollow the institution has become.

I got a greek salad and apart from the portion being way too small, flavor was pretty blah. And it cost me 20 bucks.
Loved going here all the time with my kiddos after the playground and library. Love the coconut ice cream and am missing it so much after moving to Tampa. I’m currently trying to find the name of it so I can order some for my home. lol

We come to here at least twice a week because of the park and library. It's always a hit or miss with the service and food here. I try to order ahead some days due to the long wait and It's always an issue from them not answering the phone to getting my order wrong. Many times the food doesn't taste right or the same as before and I've had to throw it away. Today I was put on hold and hung up on several times to then be rudely told that they couldn't make me breakfast because it was 11 on the dot by the time they answered to take my order. I feel as if they purposely did this and told them I would be writing this review to give them a chance to make it right and was hung up on when I asked to speak to manager being told by the girl they weren't there. It's unfortunate because it's so convenient having a restaurant to eat at while children play but I will not be giving them my business anymore.

After waiting a long time for a meat pie and a baklava. Both were not fresh and the pie was completely cold. Very bad customer service, and no communication.

Interior is nice, food is ok it’s def better than the coffee.
My iced coffee taste like burnt popcorn,
service is fine, I hope management is good to them, I can only assume who is the manager doesn’t seem too happy, it’s kinda reflected in staffs morale.
