Really good and inexpensive
Chinese Szechuan cuisine as well as service was very good! Hot tea was presented immediately as we sat down which was very thoughtful. Hot & Sour soup YUM! Appetizers egg roll & dumplings awesome too! We love to order shredded Szechuan pork - we were pleased with the presentation as well as the taste. We thoroughly enjoyed eating in this small yet a hidden jewel in a strip mall close to Sunny Isle Beach, FL. We will go back again.
I just loved their food. I always get fantastic service there. The place is always clean and the workers are always super friendly. Keep up the good work.
If you need some extra protein, this is your place!! Just found a small fried roach on my fried rice! They refund me the money and acted like nothing happened. Lol
The place offers a fantastic variety of fresh food. I enjoyed eating here. The employees are always welcoming, pricing is reasonable and the spot is always clean.
The food is consistently fresh and delicious, workers gives great customer service. I really like the cleanliness and vibes. Keep up the good work.
Brought home some takeout from Empire Szechuan last night. I used to eat their food all the time when I first moved to Miami in 1994, but I have not ordered from them in at least ten years. It was a mixed bag...MOO SHU PORK was excellent.CHICKEN FRIED RICE had nice flavor but the rice had not been cooked enough prior to stir frying and there were hard and crunchy uncooked grains of rice in it. Also we paid extra for extra chicken. I expected there to be significantly more chicken than there actually was.EGG ROLLS had been deep fried a bit too long. The wrapper was very dark and dried out. They were edible, but far from perfect.I would return again, hopefully on my next visit the food will be as delicious as I remember it was in my youth.
My meals were incomplete and wrong the general Paul chicken was like eating rubber over cooked the rice with ham had no ham in it the Mongolian beef was like eating shoe leather and the eggrolls were over cooked when I called back they said they would call me back because they were too busy to talk to meWhen I called back an hour later they did not want to do anything and said the manager was not there and I had to call when he was there but they couldn’t tell me when he was going to be there I asked them to credit my account and they won’t never will I use them again
Chinese food, yeah, my preferred treat. This place is absolutely one of my favorites. Looking forward to coming back with my friends. This place has a cool design. They have so many reviews for a reason.
Covid take out. Wanted Chinese food. My friend lives in Eastern Shores. Empire Szechuan is in Eastern Shores. We ordered the family package plus soup: $75 for 4 to go. Food: Still plain Jane Chinese lacking in... just about everything. Soups: Run of the mill, nothing special. The Hot and Sour was mostly broth with very little meat and veggies. The Won Ton and Egg Drop were, well, unmemorable. Empire Szechuan's on line "menu" allegedly is "not correct" according to the man who took my order. He claimed that I was looking at an old menu... I was on their website. Some items were not available. Egg rolls: cheap store bought with too much dough and not enough filler Crab Rangoon: Nicely fried, golden brown, crispy and tasty. The highlight of the meal. Fried Rice: a huge bucket of yellow rice intermixed with a few diced (bagged frozen) veggies, and intermittent meat. Chicken Cashew: 2 stars. Mongolian Beef: Better call it beef with (yellow) onions in brown sauce. Peppery, no minced garlic or ginger, Shrimp with Veggies: Stir fried in the same bland brown sauce General Tso's Chicken: stingy tough dried chicken. Sauce was thick and pasty. In my last review I wrote that Empire Szechuan was "fair Chinese, not good, not bad." They have not changed. If you want to be underwhelmed, this is the place. So last night will be my last time ordering here. There are better Chinese restaurants in N. Miami. The next time we decide on Chinese food, I will drive out of my way to avoid Empire Szechuan.
Restaurantji Recommends
I Used to go there all the time when the previous owner was still managing. After the new management took over, we decided to give them a try.. not a picky person.. Given the benefits of doubt.. then a 2nd try.. Frankly, shame on me..I even tried calling to bring the problem thier attention, however i was unfortunately disappointed with the response and was just phased away with a "sorry nothing i can do".I Will Not be going back nor will i recommend this place to anyone. Food is half portioned, but the price is doubled for the amount and level of quality. Overly seasoned and salty for dry pot sirlion, and the 3 cup chicken was equivalent to eating cardboard. $18 for half portioned dishes is ok.. if it was good.. but it has to be worthy.
We came here for dinner around 8:45pm and got on their waitlist. One of the servers took our orders outside so they can get started on it around 9:10pm. We were seated around 9:25pm and 5 minutes in they gave us our check and asked us to pay first since they're about to closed.
Ordered $45 worth of food. One of the dishes I ordered was seafood pan fried noodles. This dish is supposed to come with shrimp, crab meat and scallops. Plus veggies. To my surprise, it only came with some shrimps. No crab meat and no scallops at all. It came with lots of brocolli. They should rename this dish to brocolli pan fried noodles. The sauce was watery. It had the consistency of a thin soup. The sauce is supposed to have medium to heavy consistency. I paid $20 for this. Called to complain. Requested to get a new hot fresh dish but they refused. They apologized and offered me to take the dish back so they can add some more seafood. No way. They expected to eat it cold? I rejected this offer. Not coming back here. Terrible customer service.
I ordered egg drop soup, Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef. I have lived in 7 different stares and typically love Kung Pao Chicken; however, this version came with tons of thick chunks of carrots and celery, I can’t eat celery and their menu doesn’t state it has these vegetables in it. Had it (and had I ever had Kung Pao with celery or I never would have ordered this).
Great homemade Chinese food. We were lucky to stumble upon this place and will be back the next time we're in the city! Excellent! Such a treat with several vegan options..
