Portions were nice, food good (a little dry), portion size very good. However, the waiter offered us Cuban beer but the beer was American and it was 9$ and they charges us service fee that was higher than it said on the menu (up to 3 persons 18% but they charged us 20%). Service was mediocre. Menu very diverse, not only Cuban cuisine. It was ok, but would not go again.

I stopped here to order 2 "cafecitos" of Cuban espresso on Easter Sunday. The server seemed to be multi-tasking and not paying too much attention. She served me 2 entire "coladas", not cafecito, which isn't a big deal really. Fine. Ok. I paid $6.00 for the 2 styrofoam cups and walked away. The Cuban cafe we got from Esquina De La Fama was very disappointing, it was more akin to a diluted version of regular coffee, not sweet at all because there was no sugar foam (espumita). I was surprised that along Calle Ocho with all the tourists there how a business claiming to be the "Corner of Fame" in Spanish serves up such a poor excuse of a distinctly Cuban beverage like "un cafecito". My parents would be appalled.Sadly, I have no interest in visiting a place that can't get their Cuban cafecito right on the money. You may have good food but your cafecito is no winner.

An excellent place to spend time with your family, with humane and pleasant staff who make you feel at home. The best mojito you can have. It is worth more than an expense, it is an investment for the soul.

Having been here at least a dozen times when traveling to Miami over the past 10 years, I was very disappointed to have them try to overcharge us at the window on our most recent visit by about 20%. I asked about the price and they confirmed that it was correct. I then went item by item over the items that we ordered and pointed out each item with its price on the giant menu board behind them. After that the price went back to normal. If you want to build a lasting business you do it with good food and good service, not by trying to overcharge what you perceive as random tourists. Obviously, this will be the last visit for us.

The truth is I ordered some mixed tostones and the lobster tostone was ugly and old, I ordered a ceviche and I didn't think it was good either, I feel like the seafood is old, the waitress's attention was very good.

My husband and I stopped to take a photo before entering the restaurant and were attacked by security. He was rude, bad-mouthed, intimidating... he didn't care that I was in a skirt and heels and he got too close, I felt invaded, I felt like he was going to hit me and when my husband intervened, he started. Banging his fists on the walls of the parking lot, we didn't understand his attitude since we had just arrived at the place. He said we couldn't park there, but from his first contact he was arrogant. Awful!!! I thought it would really hit us. He said he would call the police but we never understood why! He claimed to be the owner of the place although he was wearing a security uniform.
Please be very careful eating over there, after I was done eating we left the restaurant and my stomach started hurting so bad, I was feeling nauseous and I rushed to the hotel, thanks God it was only 20 minutes drive!! The food was okay, but 20 % customer gratuity…overall really disappointed.
