If I can give 5+ stars I will, this is a small restaurant with the best soul food in the area. I’ve tried everything on the menu and they’re all so good. Trust me you won’t go wrong, the staff are all so friendly.

So disappointed. Flava’s wasn’t flavoring this morning. Order smothered chicken and a smothered pork chop meal and the gravy taste like it came out of a pack, eggs taste like it was poured from a carton and half the pork chop was bone. They haven’t been the same since they left Perrine. They don’t use butter, the margarine didn’t even melt not even a little bit. Bread so stale it fell apart just from picking it up. Grits tasted like water, I had to re-season the grits and gravy. When Mr. Bell oversaw everything in Perrine this place was the best down south, hands down. Idk who they collabed with when they re-opened in Goulds but this was my second and very last time wasting my money on them. They don’t even have anywhere to sit and enjoy your food so microwaving it is inevitable. Quality is pure trash these days. 2/10

Food was disgusting! Don't believe the hype. One of my orders was chicken and waffles. My waffle was flat not fluffy and it wasn't cooked fully you can still taste the batter. My chicken looked like they were cooked in old oil that's how dark they was the chicken taste salty and still was bleeding pink in the inside which means they weren't done either. I also order the salmon cake with grits and eggs for my husband which the coquette looked burnt but we didnt even bother to try it. The food was all upsetting cause we were ready to eat. I will not be ordering from them ever again and thanks to Uber eats I got my money back. And if I could submit a picture so you can see what I'm talking about you be shocked. My food was clearly not made from a chef who love to cook, It gave the chef was Tired and ready to quit.

I had high hopes on trying a local place to order food for a 4 coworkers and myself. I wanted to treat them for breakfast ~The service was great but the flavor and freshness of the snapper was disappointing. The fish was very dry and flavorless. The home style potatoes were like tiny chiclets and bland. The eggs and grits were ok. Def wouldn’t order again. I’m really big on fresh food esp fish ~ They were friendly but that does not make up for the food!
