Ingredients individually are good, in fact they are better than most pizza places in the area. As a whole, though, i find it to be a bit unbalanced in favor of the crust. The sauce is a bit dry too. Honestly, none of this stuff really matters. You want a deep dish pizza? This is one of the better ones you'll find. But its still a deep dish pizza. There is also some Mexican coke at the gas station next door (hint hint: get some mexican coke, Frankie's)

They have great customer service and the ambiance is good as well. However, for such a high rating the pizza flavor is really lacking in the quality department. The dough is chewy but hard, and not in a good way. Each bite we took was oozing grease. The pizza lacked a favorable amount of cheese, and just really hard to take down. We purchased two boxes and were more underwhelmed than anything else. My son took a bite and ended up throwing his slice away because he couldn’t bite through the dough (he has braces so if food is too difficult to chew he won’t eat it so it doesn’t pop his wires out of place). Texture shouldn’t be this tough for pizza dough ever. Very disappointing.

First time here. Will admit I was overwhelmed with options at first. Ordered and got my pizza quickly. Staff made me laugh while they were talking amongst each other. Ingredients were fresh. Pizza had a great crunch. We gave this place a try because all of the great reviews and also the fact that this place has been there for so long. We ordered a large pizza with mushrooms and onions and ordered garlic rolls. The pizza was cut into squares and some of the pizza dough was crispy but a lot of it was so hard that I could not eat it. I did see on the menu that you could order the crust how you like it and we just made our order without any special requests. Some of the pieces didn’t have any of the extra toppings and the flavor was just ok. The mushrooms appeared to be from a can so that was disappointing and I didn’t think the pizza or the garlic rolls tasted fresh. The garlic rolls were drenched in garlic; some may like that but I didn’t care for it that way. The service was friendly everyone was very nice and there was plenty of parking. I can honestly say that I will not be back but I was glad to give it a try.

I dont live in the old neighborhood I grew up in that was close to this institution called Frankie's, but I was in the neighborhood tonight, and after 40 years "THIS" pizza's UNIQUE recipe is so AWESOME!!! As Usual! Old school memories and a landmark tradition is still Spot On !
