FANTASTIC... I usually avoid airport food like the play because it's usually terrible and way overpriced. We had two of the sandwiches from Gilbert's and not only were they good airport food it was good PERIOD.... I would buy them anywhere! The sandwiches were about a 2 inches thick and delicious and cost 15 bucks. If you're in Miami airport and you're looking for a nice snack or meal get a couple of these sandwiches... you won't be disappointed

I went to Gilbert's Bakery two times! On my second visit, Ms. Narvaez recognized me and remembered my previous order! What a memory, especially in an airport as busy as MIA. I ordered the delicious Mufuletta again and enjoyed it just as much as my first visit. Thank you and I hope to revisit Gilbert's Bakery on future trips!

Got chicken wrap for $10. There is practically no chicken there. It's a ripoff. Shame on them!!!

Great spot for warm empanadas to go. I got the beef and the Cubano, both delicious!

40$ for a cocktail and a smallest cheesecake ever. Not sure how 18% service charge is legal but ok
On 11/15, I witnessed unsanitary health practices by a Gilbert's employee. I saw a Hispanic female a little heavy set, with jet black hair who works the cash register, leave the restroom without washing her hands. She literally walked out the bathroom stall wearing one disposable glove. Went back to work at the food court to Gilbert's, and didn't wash her hands at work either. Then she proceeded to make coffee for a customer. This was so disgusting, I usually eat here twice a week, but after seeing this I would never again. The health department needs to be notified ASAP, this is how people get foodborne illnesses.

Be prepared to spend an exorbitant amount of money on terrible products that are old, cold and stale. The staff is so rude and unatttentive that I didn't even bother to say anything when I was served luke warm cafe con leche. We just cut our losses and left in search of warm coffee and clean tables. Every table was dirty and filled with debris. The options are always limited at the airport, but any option will be better than this one.

Gilbert’s Bakery – Miami, Florida
If you’re ever in Miami, you have to stop by Gilbert’s Bakery! The food is absolutely wonderful — everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and full of that authentic Cuban touch. But what really steals the show is the Cuban coffee — hands down the best I’ve ever had.
The service is just as amazing as the food. There are three lovely ladies who work there — Narvaez, Yolanda, and Maricela — and they make you feel right at home every time you walk in. A special shoutout to Narvaez, who makes the best coffee in the place — rich, smooth, and full of flavor.
Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or just a quick coffee, Gilbert’s Bakery is a little slice of Cuban heaven in Miami. Highly recommend! ☕🥐🇨🇺

I visited Gilbert Bakery to buy some pastries to take with me to El Salvador, and everything was perfect! The pastries were delicious and very fresh. The young lady who helped me, Narvaez, was extremely kind and attentive. She made sure everything was packed carefully for my trip. Excellent service and great quality — I’ll definitely come back!

Such a great stop before my flight! I ordered empanadas, coffee, and jugo de mora (blackberry juice) — everything was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The empanadas were perfectly crispy and the juice tasted homemade.
A big thank-you to Yolanda and Nawaez for their friendly service and attention. They were kind, efficient, and made the experience feel warm and welcoming, even in a busy airport setting.
