Gilbert’s Bakery – Miami, Florida

If you’re ever in Miami, you have to stop by Gilbert’s Bakery! The food is absolutely wonderful — everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and full of that authentic Cuban touch. But what really steals the show is the Cuban coffee — hands down the best I’ve ever had.

The service is just as amazing as the food. There are three lovely ladies who work there — Narvaez, Yolanda, and Maricela — and they make you feel right at home every time you walk in. A special shoutout to Narvaez, who makes the best coffee in the place — rich, smooth, and full of flavor.

Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch, or just a quick coffee, Gilbert’s Bakery is a little slice of Cuban heaven in Miami. Highly recommend! ☕🥐🇨🇺

I visited Gilbert Bakery to buy some pastries to take with me to El Salvador, and everything was perfect! The pastries were delicious and very fresh. The young lady who helped me, Narvaez, was extremely kind and attentive. She made sure everything was packed carefully for my trip. Excellent service and great quality — I’ll definitely come back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Such a great stop before my flight! I ordered empanadas, coffee, and jugo de mora (blackberry juice) — everything was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The empanadas were perfectly crispy and the juice tasted homemade.

A big thank-you to Yolanda and Nawaez for their friendly service and attention. They were kind, efficient, and made the experience feel warm and welcoming, even in a busy airport setting.

Went to Gilbert’s right out of J/H gates. Staff unfriendly(even with me speaking English, she keep talking with me in Spanish), ham & cheese pastry tastes really bad and came out cold. Don’t recommend at all, you can avoid the stress by walking a lil bit more and eating from Starbucks.

Excellent rum cake. Mango juice was good-- not made from concentrate, also not in a plastic container. Very reasonable prices, especially for an airport restaurant. Friendly, helpful staff. For me it all made going through Miami's airport a little more likely choice for my next trip.

This place and their food is amazing! I always get the chicken soup unfortunately they didn’t have it today, but they had frijoles and chorizo soup unfortunately I can’t have pork. Maria, the manager, went above and beyond to get me the chicken soup from the other Gilbert’s bakery. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Stopped here to get bagels and muffins and coffee before our flight home
The bagels were so hard and chewy. They could have been used as hockey pucks
The blueberry muffins were terrible. Skip this place and go to the Illy coffee and pastry place

As far as airport food goes, this has been my favorite at MIA. Just ate here a few weeks ago. Ladies were very sweet and friendly.

The lady’s at the Gilbert’s inside the Mia Airport are amazing! I loved the guava and cheese pastelitos so much that I wanted to order a dozen and take them home with me. They didn’t have any out but they went to the back and whipped up a batch for me on the spot. They definitely went above and beyond and made my day!!! Thank you Aileen, Yolanda, Niurka, and Nawar

Staff friendly, latte’s extra hot, delicious chicken empanada's and Cuban sandwich generously filled with ham, pork, cheese and pickle. Both served warm. Cheaper than Starbucks and better quality. Thank you

The worst empanadas I’ve ever had. Soggy and not tasty, heated on a microwave I guess. Also the spinach empanada … had whatever else inside but spinach.. Just go elsewhere don’t spend ur money here.
